Neustadter scored quite the rebound volley. Brilliant set up pass from Draxler.

It seems like Tuchel will leave Mainz for Stuttgart (according to Kicker). Wow, I didn't expect that.
And Hamburg will most likely get another chance to stay in the BL in the playoffs

It's over for Nuremberg and Braunschweig.

Yeah, but Hamburg isn't better. It sucks that they'll somehow manage to stay in the BL.
What do you think of the Tuchel situation, Foye?

Draxler seals Nuremberg's relegation with a great strike.
KPB with the tekkers. Overhead kick would have been a hell of a goal.

What a crazy finish. Nuremberg get their consolation goal before Obasi makes a brilliant turn and fires off the post/off the rear end of the Nuremburg goalie.

Hertha had such a terrible second half of the season, I'm happy it's over now. Get ready for next year.

I don't know. I will wait with my judgement until the press conference is over. All I can tell you is that these speculations were terrible for the team today. First half they looked like a 3rd league team.
With Choupo, Pospech and maybe Tuchel gone we certainly shouldn't have qualified for the EL, though.

I would wait on that one.
The way everyone's already celebrating Hamburg avoiding relegation, even though they've lost five in a row and only managed 27 points is very strange to me.
I'd be very interested in a Hamburg vs Fürth matchup with Fürth winning their final game and being on a roll.
Hamburg can't keep a clean sheet to save their lives and are one bad fall from Lasogga away from being without a real scoring threat.
As far as Tuchel goes. I was always interested to see what he could do with a financially stronger club but I hope he does not go to Stuttgart, as they aren't in a great financial shape.
Though, listening to those interviews before the game he's gone for sure and Schalke manager Horst Held seemed to avoid really answering about their coaching situation with Keller.
Mainz will have a really tough time, given that they'll start very early and will need to implement a new coach and his system.

Guess we would just promote Roger Schmidt who is currently leading our 2nd team to the relegation games for the 3rd league. I doubt we would need to implement a new system.
The U23 is playing exactly the way the pros play so I guess there wouldn't be an adaption period at all.

Yeah, that would be a good way to go given that he knows his ways around the club, probably a lot of the players and could fit in nicely.
Also, it seems somewhat like a tradition with you guys, given that both Klopp and Tuchel were "home grown" coaches as well.
BTW: Our loss at Golfsburg was something every Gladbach fan could see coming from miles away. We never look good there, Kruse just got axed from the national team and Arango had been told that he won't get the contract he wants and will leave.
Anyways, still a very good season for us and I just hope that we keep investing our money wisely, get rid of de Jong and Mlapa and won't draw the toughest opponent(we've got no luck in those things) in that EL playoff.

Arno Michels, current Co-Trainer might also be an option. Or we could try and get Thorsten Lieberknecht back in town.
Either way, Tuchel has a lot to explain tomorrow. For example why he hides his intentions to leave the club until one month before the season ends. If he wanted to take a year off he should've mentioned so in the winter break so Heidel could've come up with a plan B. Not in early April.
The whole situation is profoundly mysterious.

Paderborn is getting closer and closer to the 1. Bundesliga. They took a 2:1 lead vs Aalen, and Fürth is still waiting to break a scoreless tie vs Sandhausen.

Fürth takes a 1:0 lead. If they win and Paderborn only gets a draw, Fürth will promote.
Edit: holy cow, Dresden is losing its winner-takes-all for relegation vs Bielefeld - and Dresden is playing 11 vs 10.

Dresden goes down to the 3. Liga. Even a 11-vs-10 advantage and some "help" from smoke bombing "fans" did not help.
