Well, congrats to Chelsea. I was rooting for Bayern. It was shocking how inept their offense was though. Gomes was a huge let down. Just like against Real where they didn't capitalize on their chances either.

Chelsea's win reminds me of that Greece title. That's football. **** happens.

great recap treiz. you pretty much summed up my thoughts on the players. i was in shock for most of the night yesterday. its finally starting to hit me. i am still am wearing my drogba shirt that i wore for the game yesterday (fitting choice). i might wear this shirt until it starts to smell and then wear it for 2 more days after that.

right before mueller scored my dad commented (yup went to watch the game with the old man, he had his back turned to the game for most of it, he cant take the suspense) about the chances they had and that you would think out of 30+ shots one would get in. and i said, well to be fair, even though they have shot it 30+ times none of them have been good looks. its not like they are missing sitters. every shot they had was well contested. of course, 2 minutes later mueller scored.

bayern is probably my 2nd favorite big team in europe so it sucked a little to see schweinsteiger so distraught after. i love that guy. he is a stud. hopefully if chelsea cant make it back to the finals next year this bayern core can finally break through and get the win they deserve. that team is too talented not to win one.
