Meh, no less scumbag than faking an injury to stop the other team from breaking. I'm not saying the Croation player definitely wasn't hurt, but I've no longer any sympathy when teams play on while an opponent is injured, or "injured". Players using faked or exaggerated injuries to stop play was way out of hand for far too long, and I like the new directive that leaves it up to the ref to decide if the injury looks severe enough to stop play.

Well Croatia does their job. This was an absolutely must win game for them. need to play better though. They will not get these kinds of goals on Buffon and Casillas.

No idea about why Gibson didn't play but I'm pretty sure Evans plays for Northern Ireland, not the Republic of Ireland.
