Re: 2015
I'm actually feeling a little better about Italy after those two 1-0 wins, despite them not being super impressive. The Bulgaria game was good, I was happy with how De Rossi-Verratti worked out in midfield. Pelle' was great and El Shaarawy looked good again. Conte finally seems to have clearer ideas about what he wants to do.
Buffon;
Darmian, Bonucci, Chiellini, De Sciglio;
De Rossi, Verratti, Marchisio;
Candreva, Pelle', Eder/El Sha
I would be content with that lineup going into the Euros

Forza Roma!
Gonna start monitoring the Serie A more with emphasis on Roma (just came back from Rome and absolutely loved the city). Any other Roma fans in here?
(Not gonna lie, Chelsea sucking plays a little part in this decision

Doormatt is a Roma fan. Serie A is set to be very exciting this year considering several teams look stronger and Juve lost their first two matches

Beautiful city. Brimming with culture (and insane drivers!)
Everything there was incredible, from Tratesvere to the Vatican to the Colloseum, I was just in awe of everything.
Also, of course I had to get the customary Roma shirt with Totti.
That was one of the best parts, I felt like I couldn't be a true Roma supporter until I learned how to cross the road like an Italian

Crossing roads in Rome is like playing real life Frogger.
Piazza Navona and the Colosseum are astonishing at night, and a smidge bit quieter on the touristy front. I actually bought an Italy national team shirt when I was there, although my lame attempts at speaking in Italian didn't impress the curmudgeonly shopsmith.
I've always had a soft spot for Roma and Totti too, and Italian football in general I guess. It was probably from growing up with Football Italia on Channel 4 with James Richardson. That bloke's enthusiasm was contagious.

It really was
Yeah I managed to see the Colosseum in the evening, some of the scaffolding took some shine out of it but once you move to away from that it truly was a sight to behold, glad I went on the first Sunday of the month too. Sad I didn't get to see Trevi fountain since there's still works being done there but still looked pretty. My Italian was slacking at the beginning but got pretty good in the end, managed to convince the owner of a hostaria in Tratesvere to have some limoncello with me
I had the same experience too with James Richardson! You listen to his podcast?

Re: 2015
I found making eye contact was very important with both Roman and Moscovite drivers. As long as I stared them down I could cross whenever and wherever I chose to. Even when I was the jerk who was crossing a major road right as their light turned green.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!
