Valentin Stocker to Hertha is a done deal. Good for Hertha.

Are they a hated/unpopular club in Germany or something? I thought Bayern were the most hated.

They're a big club who have been epically mismanaged for decades but because they were in teh BuLi that first season and Bayern weren't, and they haven't been relegated, they make a big deal out their big money failure that despite being a regular in the top 20-25of deloit's still end up needing their billionaire super-fan to bail them out.

As a fan of a club who recently renovated their stadium with the labor of thousands of fans who took time off of work to volunteer their skills to help the team carry the cost of the renovations without having to ask the city for money and giving them more power of the stadium, they're disgusting. We've got a number of guys here who are fans of smaller clubs as well and they likely share similar frustration of HSV's wasteful incompetence.

Here's to hoping Calhanoglu forces through the rumored Leverkusen move and Tah joins him on the way out, but I doubt it actually happens now. This will probably be the worst we'll see from HSV.

Liverpool interested in Tah it seems. Want to make a £7.5M bid for him.

Also looks like Emre Can to Liverpool is a go.

No it's not. Rummenigge has flat out said that Bayern will not let Bayer sell him to someone else.

I don't think Tah's ready for a big club, but then again Boateng and Kompany weren't ready when they made their respective moves from HSV to Citeh and in the end both moves worked out for them, granted for Jerome it involved making another move later on, but I guess it's not the end of the world if he leaves too soon, especially since he has the physical skills and the EPL isn't exactly a highly tactical league anyway.

I simply hate them because their fans are the worst and the whole club is a joke. They think they're the greatest since they've always been in the BL, even though the club didn't win anything for decades.

Look at them, celebrating their "big win" tonight. Pathetic.

So basically they're the Liverpool of Germany?

They're more like a less entertaining Newcastle.

Liverpool is at least fielding a sometimes more, sometimes less competitive team.

What Hamburg is doing can't be called competitive in any aspect of soccer.

Liverpool were a consistent CL team and won a CL in the past decade. Before the wheels came off for a bit. HSV hasn't had that kind of success since the 80s.

Not sure what the clause says but was led to believe Bayern can block the move if he's moving within the country not to another league. And their veto kicks in next year according to Kicker.

Well Hamburg was actually really good a couple of years ago. It all went down the drain when they assigned Arnesen as their director of football or whatever his position was called.

Lasogga doesn't like Kreuzer.

At least Newcastle were very close to winning a Championship in 1996

I remember HSV having a good team when they had Van Der Vaart, De Jong, Kompany. I dont know how close they were winning championships though.

They werent really good a few years ago. They were good in a weak Bundesliga including a UEFA Cup semifinal appearance.

I agree that Arnesen was the man who gave them the final push into deep mediocrity, though.

Not contender good, but overall the team they had back then would destroy the team they have now. I'd see them compete for positions 5 to 9 last season.

Why would Bayer sell Can in the first place? He has been one of their better players this season.
Also pretty sure Bayern management is smart enough to secure rights to block any move instead of just inside of Germany.

Think they're trying to capatilize on that clause. Honeigstin thinks it's on. Would be some get for us if we could get him. Big upgrade on Lucas. Fits with what we're trying to do.

Honigstein lol.

This guy said that Dzeko would join Dortmund last summer. I'm sure Liverpool fans now wish he did.

Sportbild is claiming that Mandzukic and Schweinsteiger revolted against Guardiola and tried to get rid of him. That piece was written bei Hinko though, he has got a personal feud with Schweinsteiger for a long time now.
So yeah, it's probably bull.

You're not the first person I've heard say that, but the kicker article actually just says that there's foreign interest in him. Dunno where that got mistranslated into foreign clubs have a chance when Bayern have a buy back that they'll exercise if Bayer did try to sell him against Bayern's wishes.

All these clauses are murky especial but back ones. Always favor the big club. Bayern don't need him but he's considered the Schewini replacement.
