Bro.

Did they win or no? Who cares who is missing, what is missing. All we care is to win. They failed again one more year. They failed last year while they were at their best what was the excuse by then?

Pep is an awful coach. No dif between pep and rijkaard etc.

Massi, Mou also became a semifinals specialist with Madrid and didn't make it past the second this year. All great coaches have their ups and downs

Can't blame pep for injuries so I don't see what Massi is arguing.
If bayern weren't injured the result would be closer.

Barca was ravaged with injuries two years ago as well.

No question, but once the foot comes off of the pedal it's very hard to put it back on, as we see so often. And Bayern came close to getting that 4th that I worried would've broken Barca's spirits as they were reeling already...leaving Benatia all alone on that corner springing right to mind...

Barca was lethal and deadly and should now go onto win the whole thing in the final, but Bayern absolutely could've turned that tie if a few more moments had gone their way, even with all of the injuries. So to me this 3-5 is a little different than the 1-7 of two years ago.

What was the excuse last year? Everyone was healthy and they lost 5-0 to Real.

What am i arguing?

A lot of things what I said when he was hired.

A) He is extremely overrated.
B) He is not a good coach at all.
C) bayern wont win cl.
D) he'll be fired.

I would be cool with seeing a Suarez/Chiellini rematch, plus Evra.

I don't think he's a fraud, but Guardiola gets massively overrated as a manager. He's had success in Germany but with the squad given to him, that's not surprising. Making the semi-finals 2 years in a row would be impressive, but again, with the lineup he has, it's not that surprising of an achievement.

Going out to us the way he did last year and Barca the way he did this year is not really being exposed- we were incredible last year, and Barca are incredible this year- but you get the feeling that a true top manager would adjust their tactics. I still don't think they let him leave for City, but he's clearly not a cut above Jupp like they thought he'd be.

Congrats to Barca. They were the better team, you could tell they switch back multiple gears once they had the lead. I briefly thought we might get a game when Bayern had their lead and Barca passing was affected by the pressing. Once they scored the passing was crisp and exposed no weakness.

Every goal Bayern gets kinda feels like a counterattack situation, they are so vulnerable to long balls. They need to get rid of Alonso or play him less. I think he basically played every game since he got to Munich.

cgf wrote:Thank god that's over. If Bayern had taken one of those opportunities shortly after the 3-2 and made it 4-2 with 10 minutes+stoppage time to go...I would've probably had a heart attack. As is just 15 minutes of high anxiety. Funny to think that without that neymar goal in stoppage time in the first leg and if Lewy had taken either of his golden first half opportunities in this leg or the first, the Bayern comeback would've been right there for them despite all of the injuries. But I'm glad that we won't have to hear bayern fans talk about their historic comeback against barca despite missing their starting 11, every even half-decent backup, and having to play with a bunch of random fans and Pizarro against the mighty Barca.

You cannot pass on the opportunity to take the world's best full-back and play him at a position where he is barely adequate.

ahah it literally doesn't make sense. Especially when you have superior attackers/midfielders and could make a huge upgrade over what you have now at full-back. To each his own I guess.

that being said I still dream of pep replacing arsene in the future. I want massimo to hate us so much that his head would explode anytime we win.

Agreed. He's probably not the worlds best FB anymore, though. He clearly has lost a step compared to his prime.

Exactly, when what you're then left with at right-back is also barely adequate, the overall loss of quality is simply too attractive to turn down.

Despite the rivalry, Pep is a good coach.

However, since day 1 for me, I thought the pairing of Pep and then Bayern Munich players were bad to unsure. Those players did not and were not accustom to Pep's style. Their talent for the most part allowed the transition to be fair and steady but honestly, this Bayern Munich team is no where near the terrifying form they once were.

Again, credit to Bayern for not giving up but there was no way in hell there going to get 6 goals against Barca. Maybe if Bayern got two goals by halftime Barca plays a little differently.

No doubt they wouldn't have taken their foot off of the pedal like they did if Bayern had converted in the first half to go up by 2 in the match, but they had the chances to nab that 4th goal soon after the third, at which point I would've been very nervous. 2 goals in 15+ minutes is not much for this bayern, and you guys were reeling a bit after the 3rd goal, a 4th could've broken your spirits.

Still they didn't and you rallied back to create that golden chance for neymar at the end, but I was extremely anxious for the 10 minutes after the 3-2 fell.

Too soon. They should be up in 15-20 minutes.

Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal; Tevez, Morata.
I'd rather have Pereyra or Sturaro out there instead of Pirlo. Sub him in at minute 70, when everyone is already tired and banged up.

Subs: Storari, Barzagli, Padoin, Pereyra, Sturaro, Coman, Llorente.
