Meh i dont buy he is a world class player. He is just system's player. Playing at bayern and Germany. If he goes to any other team, he'll never be as good.

What drugs do you use? I want some of those.

Müller is not world class but Felipe Melo is. Ok.

He is not. He is another Pedro, Bojan Krkic. Player of the system. Nothing more.

Benfica-Wolfsburg would be awesome. Everyone is waiting to draw these two teams.

It would mean having to suffer one of them in the next round as well, so i am firmly against it. I hope they draw Barca and Real or Bayern.

talking about suffer how did tottenham tonight ? did you suffer alot ? same way you did suffer when Benfica won 3-1 on your field last time that we meet ?

I'm rooting for:

Real - Man Citeh
PSG - Atletico
Barca - Wolfsburg
Bayern - Benfica

with Bayern and Barca meeting in the semis.

Let those two rest up for what could be 180 minutes of the best football ever played by two teams on the same pitch...if both are fit and in form...and Pep doesn't go too conservative again. On the other side of the bracket you let the 4 teams who have a shot at upsetting one of the FCBs in a 1-leg final go at it. With the symbol of Old Money in football taking on the most griped about Nouveau Riche oil-club in one matchup. And two of the teams who've risen into the top of the non-Barca/Bayern class in recent years in the other. None of these teams are beating one of the FCBs over two legs, but in a 1 off; each could have a realistic shot of it. Plus we'd get 6 interesting matches out of them before the final.

I think most Spurs fans are pretty indifferent towards the Europa League, tbh. Doubt he's losing sleep.

What is your end game, here? I wasn't even trying to antagonise you or insult Benfica (neither was Ted), but your ridiculous, bullish defensiveness suggests a chip on the shoulder.

And who can blame you, the last European trophy you won was in 1962. Since then, Tottenham have won 3, Porto have won 4, and you've lost in 8 finals. You've won a litany of league titles in a so-so league, but so have Celtic FC.

Obvious false equivalence - Are you aware of the difference in quality between the Champions League and the Europa League? Nobody would complain about watching Benfica or Wolfsburg in the Europa semis or final.

Or did I ever imply that Tottenham are currently worthy or are an attractive proposition as Champions League semi-finalists?

But hey, if outliving mediocrity in the form of Astana, Galatasaray, Zenit, and Wolfsburg is going to make you feel like a legit top four team in Europe, go for it.

Do you notice the pattern? He thinks anyone whose chief talents are off the ball or away from the action is no good, regardless of statistical production, defensive contribution, or any other criteria. That's how much he understands this game.

It's odd that he keeps bringing up Bojan in this vein, by the way. It's not like that guy ever had a productive season that he could then perceive to be overrated. They said he had potential, and he failed to fulfil it.

Yeah. I have long given up on him understanding the game but he always comes up with something more stupid. Melo world class, Müller not lmao.

Massimo actually knows and has a great understanding of the sport, he's just the most passionate fan in the forum and his passion skews his views.

He will greatly overrate Turkish/Gala players, underrate any German and Arsenal players, and diminish players who he deems a threat to his favorite players in comparisons such as Suarez, Messi, even Guardiola.

To put it in better terms, Massimo is the least objective poster here, but he's not clueless. The dude knows his ****

The draws are in:

Wolfsburg vs Real Madrid
Bayern vs Benfica
Barca vs Atletico
PSG vs Man City

I think Real, Bayern, Barca and PSG will go through.

Probably the least exciting matchups that could've been drawn.

Real and Bayern will easily go through. And Barca and PSG probably as well unless something very unexpected happens.
