And that's the bottom line. You also deprived a title challenger from getting any points.
Title challenger? Who? Chelsea is miles off from City, Liverpool. They are 33 points worse than those teams. Chelsea belong in the race for 4th place with Man utd,Leicester, Tottenham. You might as well say Leicester is title challenger.

Plus Lampard is unproven like Solskjaer, can he create good defence enough to chase top two teams?

Watch Chelsea not lose a game when Silva plays. Silva will organize that defence into a proper world class line.

Wow, we beat the tar outa Lincoln City today. With alot of 2nd (and even 3rd) unit players. Good for them. Minamino had 2 goals, but also assisted one or two others. Good to see him getting going.

It's not really a surprise. you are one of the best teams in the world, Lincoln are a small struggling club who could go under because of COVID. Their entire player salary is less than 1 player on your team.

Spurs (if healthy) should finish top 4. But yeah, I'm not really seeing Chelsea as that big of a threat. Maybe I'll be wrong (if they sign a legit Keeper & other reinforcements). City are still the biggest threat & that won't be changing for some time.

That is not my opinion only but proven PL results, all the expert can't be wrong saying with top 4 is best chance Chelsea. Man utd with all their troubles have better attack, defence.

I'm just wondering you expect City or Liverpool lose their position to Chelsea? Why? Lampard?

Yeah City,Liverpool are in a league of their own. Chelsea let in 54 goals, they cant chase those great teams imho. Lampard havent shown anything to compare, his stars are young German players who dont have top team experience. Leipzig,Leverkusen isnt exactly Bayern.

Brandon Rogers is the best coach in the teams chasing top 4, i think they have a chance to get top 4 over Manchester utd, Chelsea this season.

If you got Thiago Silva from Milan in his prime who was top 2 defenders i would agree but Silva from PSG today is miles from that level. The great Thiago Silva wouldn't leave free transfer to a young team barely top 4 in PL.....

Brendan Rogers is overrated.

I think you're underrating the entire Chelsea squad. For a start they have the best player in the prem (outside perhaps KDB) over the last 5 years in N'Golo Kanté. Still that's just my opinion like yours is just your opinion. That's why we have these discussion forums. Liverpool are a great team but it's easy to scoff at other teams when you support the champions.

I don't mean so much in terms of his playing ability, as I mean in terms of what he can turn the rest of the defending line, the goalie, and the midfield into while on the field through intelligence and leadership. Chelsea has decent defenders that just aren't all that smart. Best case scenario anyways.

Chelsea conceded another 3 goals today. Until they fix that, they won't challenge.

Rodgers has his flaws. Just look at his time at Pool. Good manager. But not one of the elites.

Actually i rate Chelsea sqaud pretty highly, i just dont think Lampard is good enough for team to go higher upp than 3-4 position. Pochettino or Rogers would do alot more with that sqaud. Tottenham,Leicester never had squad of that level.

Rogers is not overrated imo if you compare to the coaches of Man utd,Chelsea who is old top players who hasnt done anything as coaches. Rogers atleast is improving Leicester with Vardy as his best player, is beating City away right now.

Also I'm not Liverpool fan, i follow AS Roma since i was a kid, Totti was mid 20s. I just like PL more than Serie A. I admire Klopp, his style of coaching.

The fun thing is we will see this season which of our opinions comes close to the truth. :)

Good win today. Got a little lucky with the scoreline I guess...but so it goes.

Would really, really like to see us land another defender. Someone with real quality. Just feels like we're givin' them up pretty easily this season. We need to get our defense back up a notch.

For some reason we have started a trend giving away goals vs Arsenal.

Fabinho was MOTM vs Chelsea - and with the signing of Thiago, Fabinho could be that 3rd or 4th defender?

Yeah...thats definitely food for thought. How would he accept that role, do you think?

Hard to say. I like to believe he'd accept playing as a CB if needed - his primary position will likely continue to be as a #6. Thiago as a part #6 and part #8.

I'm kinda happy it is Covid and not an injury tbh. Should be back after the break.

Happy with the draw last night. Yelled a bit when Malouda showed group D for FC Midtjylland. Liverpool are coming to Denmark. :D
