Personally I think Zinchenko would be a world class LWB in Tuchel's system. That's an upgrade on Chilwell.

Bids out already for Ake

Nothing on Zinchenko so far, I think the Interest is there though

I think I'm fine with it, and I'd prefer it to ego spending on huge names like we've done and failed with the past few years. 2kill clearly wants a left footed CB and wingback coverage with the departures of Alonso & Rüdi - so these two are fine replacements.

It's not title winning business, but I'd rather wait for a guy you really like to come around - maybe that can be Gvardiol next summer, instead of dropping 70 M's out of desperation.

Zinchenko and James overlapping on both wings could be dangerous. Ake is whatever, but he's an improvement on Chalobah or Malang Sarr.

Ake - Silva - De Ligt is a fine backline for me, although I would be sad if Koundé didn't materialize after like two years of anticipation. He has the agility to really compliment De Ligt and Silva.

I agree, you don't need to be overpaying right now. Things are going to be slightly different under your new ownership so you'd have to be slightly smarter with signings.

I personally think Chalobah at this point slight ahead of Ake, but I do really rate Ake at the same time. He was just never going to be the main CB at City.

Zinchenko would be a very good signing, very underrated as a player. Originally a CM as well so he can fill that position for you guys well.

I'm starting to wonder if Kounde was a Marina signing and now shes left, it has halted. I still think it ends up happening though.

So the Boehly/Tuchel era is officially underway.

1st mode of business: Shipping Lukaku

2nd mode of business: clearing the board (Marina/Čech)

3rd mode of business: Raphinha

Different profiles, but I'd say worse.

A creative type is still desperately needed. I would hope this to be the end of the Raheem Sterling talk if they've just gone and dropped £55m on another direct attacker.

Not so fast.

Sterling plays on the left, Raphinha the right.

Personally I don't want to see Sterling and Havertz and Raphinha all sprinting at the goal without someone there capable of playing a final ball.

Matt Law dropping Sterling's name in there casually. Just end me.

This used to be EDEN HAZARD territory.

The only way I'm down for Raphinha/Sterling combined is if they're being accompanied by a Neymar/Felix signing and then orienting in a 4-2-3-1, but then see we start entering unrealistic territory.

Kouli would be so monstrous man.

My preference: Koundé > Koulibaly > de Ligt > Aké

So that means de Ligt and Aké are Chelsea bound surely.

So now you want Tielemans.

The more Raph footage I watch, the more I align with Tuchel's alleged sentiments that he might actually be best suited as a wingback.

Super hard worker and active up and down the flanks, great pace and excellent defensive workrate. The Antonio Conte method of playing wingers (Perišić/Moses) at wingback. I think he wants more mobility on both sides of the field, Reece James also played WB last season but for the most part almost operated as a #10 at times inverting into half spaces.
