Defense was so weak, Galaxy had way too many chances. TFC need to win next week (or a 3-3 draw).

The third option is what I'm suggesting. Just keep possession. There is nothing more frustrating for a team trying to get an equaliser (or winner) than to be chasing and chasing all over the pitch just to get possession back. Just maintain your shape, never let your defense get out of position and control the midfield. You're neither attacking or defending, you're just maintaining control of possession while preventing yourselves from being exposed when you do eventually lose possession. I don't know the team very well though so if you were losing a calmer head or two from the midfield then that will have an effect on closing out a game like that one.

Fox feed just said that the Seattle/Santos (Mexico) game has the better atmosphere than the TFC/LA game... they hating lol. 48K vs plenty of empty seats? No dice, they didnt even knowledge the Beckham shove at the end.

Seattle sure has an ugly uniform. It's hard to look at.

Interested in more soccer tonight? The game is on Sportsnet One.

Yea the best option is always to maintain possession. The problem is that this isn't easy to do. The best teams in the world have trouble maintaining possession for extended periods, so for less skilled teams often the better option is to either pack your own end so that when you inevitably lose possession you aren't exposed, or to keep pressing forward with long balls or runs down the wings so that when you do lose possession, you're losing it in the opponent's half.

Obviously the negatives to these approaches are giving up a large chunk of the possession to your opponent, and risking a counter-attack, respectively, but if you're just unable to maintain possession in the midfield, both options are better than giving up possession in the middle of the field with only your back 4 behind you.

I know what you mean though. It's always better to maintain possession if you can, and when you see Barca pulling it off it's beautiful to watch. But it's worth keeping in mind that most teams just aren't talented enough to do this.

L.A. has another game on the weekend while we have the whole week off so hopefully they are also very tired by then.

We better be flying out to L.A. tomorrow to train for the whole week.

2-2 draw at basically what is half time now is a pretty good result.

Live Stream of the upcoming game:

So for me without Sportsnet One (nor even cable), maybe it is good to watch through the Internet.

TFC advances with a win, a 3-3 or higher draw, or a 2-2 draw on penalties.

Damn I'm hoping we can pull out the win. Don't see us scoring 3 goals on their turf :(

We've done crazier things in Dallas and Montreal, so you never know.

If we advance, it will be a 3-1 or 2-1 scoreline. We have to come out gunning right from the beginning.

well, only one MLS team will go on to the next round. Santos is really good, best team in this tournament imo.

Rooting for TFC on this one

Well the second half is going to be very nerve racking, nice going into the half with the lead though.

We certainly didn't deserve it the way we played most of the 1st half.
