That Russia Goal looked to have been offside, as well as the initial ball into the box.

Oh well. Both teams got lucky. I aint complaining. Akinfeev aint doing that again

He was wonderful today. That hat-trick and two assists earned Russia 3 points.

Might want to pick your moments a little better cause this game perfectly illustrated everything I've criticized capello for. Capello didn't start Dzagoev so Russia were completely clueless until they went down and capello was forced to pray Alan could save him, and shockingly once he came on Russia started having some ideas and he had a huge hand in the goal they did score. Maybe if your boy had played him from the start Russia wouldn't have needed more than an hour before starting to look semi-competent?

Still can't believe how badly we played in the first half .. That was just terrible :D .. That was about the slowest I've ever seen a team play

Didn't understand the lineup either :-? Dembele AND Chadli? They're too much alike to be in the same team IMO. The team desperately needs someone like Mertens or Mirallas. Those are guys who always "go deep" and attack .. Look at the difference before and after Mertens was subbed in ..

And Fellaini on the bench? KDB as a winger? :-? .. We played our best games the last couple of years with Witsel-KDB-Fellaini and Hazard/Lukaku/Mirallas(or Mertens), why the sudden change? Why Dembele AND Chadli?

Everyone's now praising WIlmots for his changes, but IMO he shouldn't have kept Fellaini on the bench. I can understand him wanting to have Mertens as a "Super Sub", but atleast start Mirallas than, who's the same type of player as Mertens.

Ah well, first game's always the toughest they say, and we managed to win it and I think Wilmots learned a great lesson here. Can't wait for Sunday 8-)

Honestly think Belgium should play in a 3-4-3 since their fullbacks are so average.

Courtois

Verthongen
Kompany
Vermaelen

De Bruyne
Witsel
Fellaini
Dembele

Mertens
Lukaku
Hazard

Mirallas was injured at the ed of the season and didnt really play well n the friendlies. Origi was a good sub imo, Lukakuwasnt playing well.

And as I posted earlier in this thread: there was too much pressure. Team was paralysed and overexcited to finally play. Such a badfirst half. But the comeback is awesome and we'll rock against Russia and Korea.

So what you're saying is, rather than pretending their quality centre backs are full backs, they should pretend their quality central midfielders are wing backs?

You'd think, with the height adv gained from playing centre backs at full back, Belgium would be good in the air defensively.

That man sleeping pretty much sums up this match.

Hazard is such a ball hog. De Bruyne and Witsel should advance the picth dribbling more often

Capello should give Dzagoev a shot. Belgium doesn't look good defensively (or at all) but there's no one taking advantage of it.

Edit: there he is

Very dissapointing game by Hazard. Again. Mediocre since march.

Not on the same level as CR, Messi, Suarez, Zlatan, Robben, Neymar etc.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.
