I really like him. Seems humble and determined to create a unit greater than the sum of it's parts.

He's always wanted Barça. I could see this being imminent contingent on FDJ to United.

I might want it to happen simply to see Mark Goldbridge's reaction.

Aké, De Jong, De Ligt, Koundé, Dembélé are all A+ links. Time to put your money where your mouth is Brokely.

Aké looks to be next. Some other transfer targets still in the mix...

Aké, who has already agreed personal terms on a return to Chelsea, also wants to start on a more regular basis.

Chelsea need to strengthen their defence after losing Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen on free transfers. A deal for Aké should be straightforward as long as they offer City over £40m. Tuchel is a long-time admirer of Aké, who came through Chelsea’s academy before joining Bournemouth in 2017, and tried to sign him when he managed Borussia Dortmund.

In addition to Aké, Chelsea’s defensive targets include Juventus’s Matthijs de Ligt, Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe, Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Sevilla’s Jules Koundé.

Looks like it's Sterling, Ake and Koulibaly.

Koulibaly is a good signing. Incredibly strong, can play with the ball at his feet and is positionally sound. Should be an ideal fit. I'm actually surprised he didn't move to the PL years ago.

I guess Ake is for depth. Haven't been impressed by him at City, though he looked decent at Bournemouth a few years ago.

So they spent 40ish mill on Werner, 100 mill on Lukaku and 70 odd mill on Morata (I'll allow this one because they were at least winning stuff)

So over 200 mill on Strikers  , you don't even hear about this in the media at all.

Surely Abraham could've played in one of these Chelsea sides and would've been more effective than the rest...

Oh and Havertz too, he's on watch too this season.

I was telling my Chelsea loving fan (where is he anyway?) that Abraham was better than Werner and Havertz

This rocked my world. Andrey is the truth.

Boehly is building a superpower consortium and is enamored by the multi-club developmental method.

Nkunku signing not moving me, nor is a move for Rafael Leao. That's just typical Chelsea name chasing after players with zero actual squad planning.

Awesome news if true. Zubimendi is a baller.

These links to me are must havs. Zakharyan is the next super talent out of the eastern block following the footsteps of Kvaradona and Mudryk. Sublime playmaker. And Moreira looks like an outstanding talent as well.

I like the "Vision 2030" thing that is getting propped up for Chelsea now and going forward. They're assembling a herd of young talent that won't be good right now, it might take some years, but the foundation is being built up again. You're never going to enter the arms race that is the Premier League by erratic spending.

Can chalk up Fofana, Sterling, Koulibaly to more bad business last summer to go with the horrific track record we've had probably since Emenalo stepped away in 2017.

So yea, more young South American and Asian talents at my squad please.

Andrey is a terrific start. Chukwuemeka is a budding young midfielder. Reece James of course the rock. Time to keep adding onto that foundation.

Gvardiol is the crown jewel. I don't care how much we've spent on defenders. Koulibaly is a fraud and Silva is 49 years old, what a player though. And then Fofana who we splurged on last summer has a mashed up knee.

Oi vey, the rebuild is fully on track. Likely no CL for Chelsea for a few seasons, but who knows.

Dude how is the Chelsea rebuild looking good from any angle aside from Gvardiol now?

Abramovic may be the best and most generous club owner in EPL history, and is gone. Half the CL backline left for la liga. Graham Potter is hard to judge, but he's very likely worse than a generational tactician like Tuchel. More importantly, Potter's preferred squad style is very different so previous key players like Havertz may not even make sense moving forward. And then there's the tragedy of the striker position. Chelsea probably would have been better off signing Ronaldo given how consistently finishing has been an issue in the league so far. Instead they have a peak age injured striker on loan at a club that probably won't convert him and a 33yo Auba replacing more versatile and useful players like Werner and Tammy.
