The paradox of this group is if Germany scores...

For Spain, it is better to finish second (so losing to Japan is fine looking ahead).

Germany is going to get to a point where they put 11 guys ahead of the ball. At this pace the worst thing that happens is maybe Spain maybe doesn't make it.

At least they can take another giant down with them. :)
