Got Leipzig. Should be able to beat them, but not the best draw.

Will be an interesting matchup.
We can only hope that all players will be healthy until game, because of this hard coronavirus-schedule.

"Liverpool FC is mourning the passing of former manager Gerard Houllier, aged 73. The Frenchman was in charge of the Reds for six seasons, leading his team to an historic and unforgettable treble of League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Cup in 2000-01 and returning the club to the Champions League."

I wouldn't call them a rival lol.

I'd consider them one of our biggest rivals for the titel this season. Spurs, Chelsea and City as the main rivals.

They'll be in the mix. But I'm not ready to anoint them one yet.
I consider City to be more of a rival at this point. Obviously United is even when they're down.

Manure, Manure, Manure. Small shout out to Everton...our crosstown rival. Man-$ity and Chel$ea got owners with huge pockets. They have been the teams to beat the last decade. But Manure is our real old-time nemesis. At least IMO.
I consider Spurs to be Arsenals rival.

Re: Official Liverpool FC Thread
But great goal by Bobby. I personally thought the Spurs goal was offsides. Thankfully we got the 3 points....so moot point.

Re: Official Liverpool FC Thread
What a drubbing today!
CP had chances in the first half, but it looked like they just gave up in the 2nd half. I guess this makes up for the Villa match lol. We’re also tops for goal difference for now, which is good.
I noticed that since the match against the Spurs we’ve been playing Salah deeper, resulting in him being more involved as a playmaker. I like this change. He’s too good to primarily be used as a recipient of long crosses for 1 or 2 touch shots.
Now they get a much needed rest through Christmas and are clear at the top of the table.
If someone would’ve told me before the season started all of the injuries we’d suffer through through December, i would’ve been happy with just fighting to stay top 4. The fact that we’re tops now given all that the team has endured is absolutely remarkable. Credit to Klopp and his staff, the youth and our senior players. I’m not predicting anything but if we were to win the league again this year, it would be just as impressive of a season as last year, given all the challenges.

I meant a rival as in being one of the biggest competitors for the league titel this season. Not as in the harshest rivalry. Obviously in that matter Spurs ain't a rival to us - don't really have any dislike towards them.

Wasted chance. 5th draw on the season....15 games in.
This is what always killed our title chances before. Looks like it's back.

We are very far from the level we had the last two seasons. Sure we might have games at that level, but every other week we are looking like complete amateurs. We can go from the best team in the league to the worst in the span of 3-7 days. From dominating Leicester or Wolves to getting outplayed by Fulham or West Brom. **** ME that's terrible.
We aren't winning anything this season if it doesn't change.

Re: Official Liverpool FC Thread
Kudos to WBA for their fight.
With that said, this isn’t the first time Curtis Jones has needlessly (and consequently, recklessly) dribbled deep in our half of the pitch when he should’ve been looking to advance the ball up the pitch or at the very least clear it out. Unfortunately, this is the first time it has cost us.
I won’t place the full weight of the tie on him as everyone was quite average today at best.
This felt like one of those matches where the boys played as if they thought a win was inevitable and they merely needed to be present on the pitch for the goals to pour in. (I thought they approached the Aston Villa match in the same way.)
You would think that they’d relish the opportunity to get a full three points especially against WBA as it would give them a bit of breathing room at the top. In the last 4 matches, we’ve beat Tottenham at home and Crystal Palace away, but we’ve drawn 1-1 away at Fulham and now at home against West Brom (with Fulham and West Brom occupying the 2nd and 3rd spots in the relegation zone).
A tie is definitely better than a loss, but this almost felt like a loss considering this wasted opportunity to be further ahead at the top.

It’s not even the fact that we’re drawing. If you’re going to draw, let it be against a top 6 team, not to Fulham and West Brom!
Yes, we are wasting opportunities.
