Juve still has plenty of spine. It may take a little time for the new players to settle in but they are all great players. Juve will buy a #10, hopefully Gotze now that Oscar seems like a no go. Inter's defense finally has improved but Kondogbia, as good as he is, will never be Pogba. They have Icardi but we have Morata, Dybala, Mandzukic... I expect Inter to be in the running for CL though.

I think you've gotten better up front. Mandzo and Dybala are excellent and will be a really dangerous unit with Morata and Llorente up front, even with Tevez's departure.

Sami isn't as talented as Vidal, but if he's fit I think he'll shine in Turin. Buying a ten and using Marchisio in Pirlo's role could leave you with a better best-11 midfield diamond.

Mandzukic --- Morata/Dybala
Oscar?
Sami --- Pogba
Marchisio

with Morata/Dybala, Llorente, Zaza, Coman, Pereyra, Stuttaro, Asamoah? (have you guys used him in midfield or has it just been LB?), and whoever I'm forgetting on the bench.

I think we got better up front too. Allegri loves having flexibility with his tactics and now we have plenty of options up top. We can do 4-3-3 with Morata/Dybala/Zaza/Coman out wide. Asamoah can play anywhere on the left, including forward in a 4-3-3, but we did in fact get him to be a CM back when he first joined.

Mexes just scored a golazo in the Milan derby in the ICC.

Shades of his Anderlecht goal.

IIRC he scored a screamer last season too, hes good for at least one every year. he would be a great player if he wasnt so inconsistent.

Inter signed Jovetic, I think they'll be back on the CL.

rip? first game of the preseason. Props to Mainz though lol
both Juve and Lazio look horrible so far with the SuperCoppa coming up in a week and a half. I have to assume Lazio gets it together before Juve considering all the new guys we got.

I'm annoyed (but not as much as Conte) at how Serie A again starts way later than all the other leagues :x

I actually like Bonucci a lot. He's one of the best CBs around but that was a damn embarrassing nutmeg to conceed even in the first preseason friendly. Made him look like a 10th league player.

Anyway, it means nothing of course. Just like our victory against Lazio. :dontknow:

It happens. Novi Sad play in this competition since day 1. Means a month of regular games already vs. a team just getting started in the preseason.

Same story with Mainz last year.

Dortmund also very well couldve lost yesterdays game 3-1 if Wolfsberg were any good at converting their set pieces.

I have no real expectations for him, haven't ever seen him play either...barring some improvement he'll be a youth team player or loaned out till we eventually sell him

still waiting on Juve's #10 :(

I hope Sami can get healthy and back on form. He's not as dynamic with the ball as Vidal, but he brings a lot of Vidal's other qualities, and is a very smart possession-supporting player; one who recycles the ball well and is great at playing 1-2s in tight spaces. With Marchisio taking over Pirlo's old spot, having Pogba and Khedira running around in front of him could leave you with an even better midfield trio than the one you relied on in the CL last season...if Sami gets back to his best and replaces most of what Vidal brought to the table.

With that forward core in front of them you could be absolutely lethal...as Mandzukic is too easy to cheer for and Dybala is an absolutely awesome talent; plus Morata still hanging around until Real sell Benzema...at least you definitely would've been if you'd pulled off the capture of a #10 like Gotze, Draxler, Firmino, or Pastore.

That 10 spot and your FBs are the only big question marks I see for you this season, and it's not like your FBs are a liability as Lichtensteiner is still very effective...though Evra repeating last season's success seems unlikely to me, would be a very smart move if you guys swooped in for Digne, or maybe even Kurzawa if you were ready to pay that much to secure your LB spot for as long as you can hold onto the young frenchman.

I got the newspaper from tomorrow around.
It says "World Cup & CL winner Sami Khedira announces retirement because Massimo thinks he is a bad player."
