Well, he's stated that we want to sign a certain number of players, so yeah, it's going to take some time.

BTW: The first round of the cup looks like this.

Duisburg - Fürth
Rostock - Stuttgart
Karlsruhe - Hannover
Mannheim - Frankfurt
Uerdingen - Dortmund
Lübeck - St. Pauil
Kaiserslautern - Mainz
Osnabrück - Leipzig
Delmenhorst - Bremen
Chemnitz - HSV
Nordhausen - Aue
Cottbus - Bayern
Ulm - Heidenheim
Verl - Augsburg
Saarbrücken - Regensburg
Aachen - Leverkusen
Salmrohr - Kiel
Wiesbaden - Cologne
Magdeburg - Freiburg
Sandhausen - Gladbach
Oberneuland - Darmstadt
Dassendorf - Dresden
Villingen - Düsseldorf
Baunatal - Bochum
Halle - Wolfsburg
Halberstadt - Union Berlin
Würzburg - Hoffenheim
Ingolstadt - Nürnberg
Drochtersen/Assel - Schalke
Eichstätt - Hertha
Rödinghausen - Paderborn
Viiktoria Berlin - Bielefeld

Sandhausen could be a upset waiting to happen for us, especially with a new manager and system our players have to learn.

Mods need to look at this. No way you should be able to insult an absolute legend like this.

Whatever they are paying Hummels, it is too much.

He'll probably have to warm up indoors before matches for the first couple of weeks and once he scores a header all is forgiven.
Just look at Götze and how fast that was over with...

In this situation, Hummels seems like the dude who will mid marriage with brunette girl (BVB) notice he is more attracted to blonde girls (Bayern), then get betrayed by the blonde girl after a while to find the conclusion „fck it I am going back to my loyal ex brunette“.

At least in this situation he doesn‘t have to pay for the divorces.

He looks kind of like a dude with poor attitude in all this, though.

Why does Öztunali always look like a football player when he plays for the U21 squad but rarely when he does for us?

Richter was really good last night.

If he learns to finish calm like that in the Bundesliga watch out. Last year he was more of a Chancentod.

Supposedly Augsburg is interested in Öztunali. Wouldn‘t mind throwing 5-8 mil. and Öztunali their way for Richter but likely wont happen.

Augsburg just signed two wingers in Ruben Vargas(Luzern) and Sarenren-Bazee(I think that's right).
So I doubt that's going to happen for you...

They will sign another most likely.

Hahn is getting old, Schmid was sold. Ji left.
Sarenren-Bazee is a gamble. Dude is never healthy.

We've signed a player.

Stefan Lainer will joing Borussia Mönchengladbach, and his former manager, from RB Salzburg and was signed to a five year contract.
Lainer's an austria international right back who perfectly fits into Rose's style of play and should cost us about 12 mil euros.

Edith says:
We're also linked to french u-21 centre back Malang Sarr of Nice, while french youngsters Marcus Thuram and Alexis Claude-Maurice are also in the mix.
Claude-Maurice supposedly said in public that he wants to join us.

what BVB doing.
Hummels?
really.
i know they had a bunch of guys rotate in the CB spots last year, but this is not how u challenge or try to win the league.

BVB needs another goal scorer,
or someone to limit Goetz minutes.
and probably another wing.

They signed Hazard and Brandt for the wings.
Plus Reus and Sancho.
Plus Wolf and Bruun Larsen for depth.

Thats probably deeper than Bayern at the wings.

I agree they could use a more traditional striker. Although Favre likes to have guys with playmaking skills as CF.

Alcacer was good in the league last year but had no real impact in the CL.
Götze was okay in the league.
Philipp aint good enough.

Dont think they will do much of anything for the remainder of the window, though. Selling Guerreiro to Barca and call it an offseason.

Then they spent 125 mil. to upgrade the wings and downgrade the left back position. Schulz aint that good.
Hummels doesn‘t move the needle for me. Could‘ve just continued with Diallo/Akanji. Seems like a costly prestige move to bring him back.

Lol at Max Kruse. Wanted 6 mil. salary and Europa League football.

Now most likely receiving 2.5 mil. salary at Fener without EL football(less than he would've gotten by just signing a new contract in Bremen) after being turned down by Frankfurt and Bayern because his asking price was too high.

Since he is a passionate poker player it's best summed up by: Teams called his bluff

i forgot about Brandt,
idk him too well.
Wolf and Larsen r just bench guys. they rarely make an impact.
i want LESS Gotze,
and LESS Gotze and Reus playing together.
neither has speed or bite.
they dont go for 50/50s, they dont commit enough fouls or challenges.
each has their usefulness, but, just not together.
i want way more Paco this year.

i agree they could have continued with Diallo/Akanji.
wasted $ on Hummels imo,
would rather spend that on a project striker.

Seems like Breel Embolo will be our next signing.

We're supposedly paying Schalke 8 - 10 mil euros up front and the deal could be worth up to 16 mil euros if Embolo stays healthy and plays at least 25 games every season for the next four years, while we also qualify for europe.

Marcus Thuram is said to be on his way to us as well, while Malang Sarr(Nice) could be another possible signing.

BTW: We're also collecting at least five million euros from those Nico Schulz and Djibril Sow(signed with Frankfurt today) deals.

What do you think about Hertha selöing 37,5% for 125 mil?

I think its a short sighted move that will come to bite them in the ass.

I actually don't know enugh about that deal to have an opinion.
Though, didn't they just buy back shares from a former "part owner/group"?

Overall I think german teams need to try and find strategic partners, as long as 50+1 is still there because without that there's no way in hell we're keeping up with those other three european top leagues.

They sold 37.5% for 125 mil.

Next year investor will have have the option to go for 49.9% for another 100 mil or so.

Dude will just keep the shares for a couple years and then sell to the next highest bidder or force Hertha to buy back for more.

As of now the valution seems okay but Herthas value can go nowhere but up in the next years unless they get relegated which I dont see happening.

I see this as a very short sighted move to generate money. It is business. You dont sell your shares for short sighted profit. Gotta be a deal you will profit long term from.
