Looks like Onisiwo is on his way to Salzburg after 9 years at Mainz.

When he first got here I thought he would be gone by his second season that is how dreadful he was. Limited skillset for a winger, dreadful passing accuracy and always the wrong decision making.
With hard work he managed to become the clubs all-time leading scorer in the Bundesliga.
33 goals, 29 assists in 214 appearances in the Bundesliga.

Past 1.5 years he hasn't been able to make much of an impact in the games anymore but still thankful for his service.
Always a good sportsman. Good luck in Salzburg, Karim.

OOF that super sucks. I pay $214/month Canadian for Bell Fibre 3GB Internet & the Bell Fibre tv "better" tv package.

I went legit finally got this in Nov. 2022. I have Amazon Prime but that's more for shipping.

I don't watch much live action shows/movies I use premiumze for that(real debrid).
For anime & reading pirate.

So point trying to make I refuse to pay extra for more services. Ugh.

At least I can let my 82 year old Mom know(She's from Germany originally).

Thanks Foye!

Not much different in Germany.
Sky (Saturday games) is about $35 per month.
Dazn (Friday, Sunday games) is about $40 per month.
That's $900 per year just for watching football.

I always joke that it is CHEAPER to watch all the games of my favorite team live in the stadium.
I pay about $210 for season tickets in the standing area for the 17 home games.
Tickets in the standing area away are usually $20-22. I don't go to all away games but at least half of them.

Obviously, the travelling, beer and food expenses to get to the away games rack up quickly. So, it is not totally true that watching all games in the stadium is cheaper BUT the scary part of it is that IT ALMOST IS CHEAPER.

Burkardt is in the best shape ever.
15 games 12 goals and 2 assists. Only 1 penalty from those 12 goals, too.

2 goals again today in the 2:0 victory against Bochum.

Kaishu Sano is a beast. Feels like we are playing with 12 men with him in midfield.

Tuesday we are heading to Leverkusen.
A loss is probably the most likely outcome given that Amiri is still banned, Nebel went off injured and our bench is way too thin.
I am pessimistic given Leverkusen is in top shape but hopefully we can pull another upset.

Anyway, we are currently in 4th spot. Feels great after we were like 17th this time of the year last season.

I think they have done a poor job constructing the roster.

E.g. they spend 45 mil. € on Guirassy & Beier.
Beier was good when he had another striker next to him in Hoffenheim.
But Dortmund is playing 4-3-3 system with a CF and two wingers.
Now Guirassy is the starter and Beier has to be used outside of his strongest position.
As you can probably imagine Beier hasn't performed up to expectations.
Signing him when they want to play 4-3-3 was stupid. Should've spend those 28 mil. on getting a good defensive midfielder.

But all that is no excuse for Sahin. They are still in a worse position than they should be in.

Sahin got fired. I wonder which BVB legend and Aki Watzke buddy succeeds him. Schmelzer? Großkreutz? Weidenfeller?

Seriously though. It was inevitable and he seemed to be overwhelmed with this job. Not the only problem the club has, though.

But they could have waited a few more days with this move as they are playing us at the weekend.

I think they are going to miss the Champions League this season.
Which means they'll have to sell their best asset Gittens in the offseason.

Well deserved 2:0 victory against Stuttgart.

Weiper scored in absence of Burkardt. And Caci with a rare goal.
Great to see Weiper is finally getting back to form after his injury.

Looks like we are getting Arnaud Nordin from Montpellier for not even 2 mil. €. Seems like a decent super cheap signing.
McAtee is unfortunately headed to Leverkusen.

Niko Kovač new Dortmund coach. Could see him stabilize the team in the short to medium term, but I doubt he's a long-term coach for them (has a contract for the rest of this season and the next, so BVB probably thinks the same).

Dortmund es a complete mess. 0-2 vs. Bochum, not one creative player. Highlight was when Kovac said before the game that Brandt is about the same range as Wirtz and Musiala. They should do drug tests for coaches.

Really happy for Mainz and Foye. Would be amazing if they could qualify for the CL.

Crazy how much can change in a year.
Exactly 1 year ago we were 17th and 9 points behind the 15th.

Our schedule is still fairly difficult.
We have got Freiburg, Dortmund, Wolfsburg, München, Frankfurt and Leverkusen left from the top of the table.

Champions League in Mainz would be absolutely amazing. The club needs the money.

Europa League would be great, too, but financialöy not such a big step forward for Mainz.
