Arteta simply cannot get over this. You don't see Liverpool comparing their 97-point season to others. Each and every season is different. By the way, Manchester City had more cumulative points in the last three seasons -- 251 to Arsenal's 247.

Interested to see how Truffert and Diakite perform this season. Both quite highly rated more so Diakite, but have big shoes to fill with Kerkez and Huijsen gone.

There was a stretch under Pochettino where Spurs were the highest total points accumulator, over a few seasons.
And we all know how that went.

I think losing that title race vs City has crushed him mentally but he’s trying to keep it together. Not sure if there’s secret pressure from the Arsenal board or not from last season, he probably has said if they get him a top striker then he can get it over the line. Interested to see how Gyokeres performs this season, I haven’t watched Arsenal this preseason so I don’t know if they are playing to his strengths or expect him to play a certain way.
Artetas seat will get hot if he doesn’t hit the ground running by New Years. Probably has more pressure than any of the predicted top 4 teams from last season.

Weird decision that, he clearly reached out to try to stop the ball

13 minutes into the match, and the first VAR mistake of the season.
As Baphomet stated, it was an intentional move by the player to go for the ball with his hand.

He should’ve been sent off as well because wtf was he actually trying to do lol. These refs are just hopeless.

"Not denial of a goal-scoring opportunity", apparently, according to VAR via Sky at half-time.

Add an assist to Etikite's stat sheet. Great finish from Gakpo

Definitely not. Think it's nonsense, personally.
Meanwhile Semenyo pulls one back for Bournemouth.
