According to fox soccer:

-Arsenal are about to jump in the running for Gareth Barry. The offer could be something along the lines of Justin Hoyte and cash.

-Andrei Arshavins agent believes that Arsenal is a great fit for him.

With Adebayor, Gilberto Silva, and Aliaksander Hleb on the way out, this could turn out to be great.

Looks like Adebayor will stay after all.

But still need a good DM, because gilberto and flamini are gone and Diaby is more Cesc type player than a defensive mid.

A year later, the post relevant.

I was gonna start a new thread, but this is funnier.
I'm still hearing rumors of Arshavin to Barcelona. Probably as misguided as his agent.

Premier League and European Champions (Now this is very very optimistic to say the least)... (HOMER ALERT)
all im saying...people are forgetting the influence of Arshavin..and the Addition of Rosicky..
The team with and without Arshavin is like light and day..
I wouldnt be surprised since Arshavin came..are points record is similar to the rest of the top 4...

Im also not impressed with Man U and Chelsea (A year older and not a good sign for an ageing team)
A non homer in me will probably put LIverpool ahead.

United
Liverpool
Arsenal
Chelsea

I think its still tough to beat United over the course of a season and I have observed some complacency from the likes of Drogba and Co in Chelsea's strike force and I don't belive Zhirkov would have a major impact either. Keeping John Terry is another big deal right now. Liverpool will always be close but not win the league and Arsenal might surprise people.

It's a bit early to say I think, because we don't know if Adebayor will stay and who will replace him if he leaves. The defence should be stronger with Vermaelen and Senderos, but a defensive midfielder still wouldn't hurt. We've heard the addition of Rosicky stuff a couple of times so I'll believe that when I see it. We have to see what the others do as well, because i doubt MU intends to replace Ronaldo and Tevez with Owen. Chelsea have a new coach, we'll see how that works out.

As it stands, I expect at least fourth place, but if the injury prone players manage to stay fit and the squad has enough depth for once, anything is possible.

Oh and I expect someone to break Martin ******* Taylor in half when they go to the Grove.

If Rosicky is back from injury he's quite a good cover until Nasri returns.

We're gonna miss Nasri. He did a lot for our offense. Rosicky is a damn good replacement though.
