And that's why JT's still better than Kompany

lmao very entertaining start to the season, I'm pleased that for the most part, we really controlled the match. 65 minutes of near domination against City is impressive. Now just announce a Sneijder signing sometime soon and we're ready to go :)

Looked like Clichy should have stepped in there first, and possibly a handball by Nani?
I think when Barry came on for Balo City's offense became nonexistent. If they were going to take him out it should have been for Kun. But Man U deserved the win just because of their second goal, I'm still amazed by it

I don't see that as Kompany's fault. Whoever the other defender coming back (I think Clichy) was moving towards the ball and then suddenly veered off to the left, leaving Kompany to make the challenge. Clichy should have been challenging Nani for the loose ball and allowing Kompany to sit a bit further back as cover. By leaving the ball for Kompany to deal with (and compounding that by not moving back towards the goal but out towards the touchline) he left a situation whereby if Nani wins the 50-50, the end result is a clear path to goal, which is what ended up happening.

(But JT is still better than Kompany).

LOL, Nani retains his Portuguese accent until he uses the phrase "young lads", at which point he sounds like he was brought up on Coronation Street :-)

Yeah on a second look, Clichy was at fault too. It seems like Clichy's team is always the victim of huge comebacks

Btw, me thinks this might trigger a Sneijder move for City lol.

Sounds about right - "OMG, we lost a (preseason) game, we must go out and spend another 35m + 200k a week wages on a single player who will solve all of our problems!" :D

Watching the game at a Liverpool dominant pub was even sweeter.

But man Rooney, Cleverley and Nani were amazing all through the game.

Damn there are people in the pub at 6;30 in the morning? How early do you have to get up?

All London teams are not going to play this weekend due to the riots.

Think only the two Carling Cup games have been postponed for now, but all London games (including the NT game) should be IMO
