Re: 2014 FIFA World Cup: Group D (URA/CRC/ENG/ITA)
hodgson is trying to take advantage of chiellini playing out of position and an inexperienced player on the wing backs

If England had a progressive manager I would back them to do something at his tournament. Instead there's WOY.
Think that's why Welbeck's in the right, to help out Johnson.
I agree I'd definitely prefer Rooney in the middle and Sterling on the left, in all fairness though I expect them two to switch positions frequently, the only constant is Welbeck for defending purposes

Re: 2014 FIFA World Cup: Group D (URA/CRC/ENG/ITA)
Using Welbeck, Sturridge, Rooney, and Sterling could create really attractive, creative football with all four having the ability to switch positions amongst each other. Perhaps banking on repeating Dutch success yesterday?!

thats not a bad option as well but our third striker this year was sanogo/bendtner loool , he's surely better. Doubt we bring in more than 1 striker
Wasn't Sanogo your second striker? Giroud's good enough to take all his minutes and more. Balotelli/Giroud/Sanogo with improved Campbell possibly replacing Giroud in 2-3 years would be ideal IMO

sanogo was out for most of the year and became fit near the time of the bayern tie , giroud started literally every game either him or podolski/bendtner. Then sanogo was #2 to end the season. yeah I guess that could work out too but I really like campbell more than sanogo at this point and I think sanogo needs the loan more than campbell. Sanogo is way too raw

Still sad about no Kyle Walker.

Yeah I like Campbell more than Sanogo myself, which is why I think he could benefit from playing week in week out at a decent club like Everton rather than staying on the bench at Arsenal.
