Should be fun to see if Bayer can nab a goal before Wendell and/or Papa get sent off in the second half.

Schmidt really needs to bring Mehmedi on for Keissling; that and start converting Calhanoglu into a Regista like Pirlo. He'll benefit from the extra time, space, and pitch to play passes into. Plus it'd work nicely with Kramer and Lars going forward to have someone that skilled sitting behind them, ready to recycle the ball or play a killer pass from deep when it comes back out to him.

Son/Brandt - Mehmedi - Bellarabi
Kramer -- Bender
Calhanoglu
Wendell - Papa* - Tah - ________
Leno

*Toprak when fit; Jedvaj if he develops; Sakho if he's bought.

That team would be much more effective and dangerous. Still would be crap at RB, but that can only be fixed with a buy.

Wow, seems like referee Jonas Ericksen has informed Lazio that he'll call off the game if those racist comments towards coloured Leverkusen players by their supporters don't stop imediatly.
The stadium announcer has called them out to stop it as well.

Keeping Wendell in the game is very dangerous.

Mehmedi for Son. Not sure that delivers what Schmidt hopes it will. It would've been Keissling coming off if it were my call.

I'm thinking they're going to push for a quick 1-0 that they can try to take home. And Wendell has had games where he's calmed down during the half time break and been much better about his recklessness in the second half after looking like a sure bet to get sent off in the first; maybe this'll be one such match?

Incredible move by United. Shaw did brilliantly to cover up for his mistake and launch the counter.

The Turk has been playing superb. Joy to watch him. Brilliant player, not a pussy to choose his real country over his fake country just because other is more popular. Go Hakan go my man!

Lulic getting shredded like this a few days later should make Hoffenheim's young LB, Kim, feel better about his performance against Bellarabi.

Ref is doing a pretty good job considering how hard the players are making it for him. But Wendell and Mauricio shouldn't be in game right now IMO.

It must be hard to see Turkeys best talent rather playing for a small village club than Galatasaray lol.
