Has he retired because he missed the peno? Weak!

ahahaha loser messi couldn't win again.

Without Iniesta, Suarez, Neymar etc. without tiki taka, this is Messi. That's why he never leaves Barcelona. If he does, he can't win ****. Unlike Cristiano Ronaldo who is proven in two different league.

The fact Argentina with Messi, Higuain, di Maria and Agüero couldn't score a goal in 120 minutes against a team fielding Marcelo Diaz as DM and Jara/Medel as CBs is pretty hilarious tbh.

Yeah right.
Because Ronaldo played with multiple scrubs next to him.

Why he (Messi) would leave the best club in the world in the 21st century ?

messi has been complaining about corruption in argentine federation for a long time, this sounds like a threat more than anything. no way he skips the world cup and all the sponsor money that comes with it.

They need to get Icardi in this team. Messi needs some ruthless dawgs playing next to him not bottlers like Pepino.

Messi missing that PK was like winning the lotto.... 1 in a million chances..... i was actually rooting for him this time around but wow....

that gave life back into Chile in the PKs....

Unfortunate end.... but really bizarre that they didn't score against Chile in the 90.... Not hating on chile as they themselves improved tremendously but defense they are not world beaters.

They need to bring up icardi and dybala. Maybe they'll do something instead of serial chokers Aguero and Higuain. My goodness is di maria overrated as well , he's fallen off the face of the earth after that half season Ancelotti played him as a LCM

Should've taken a pen and should've come on earlier. Not counting today's 9 minutes, Argentina are 0-3 in finals without him. Coincidence? 8-)

I'd lose a lot of respect for Messi if he's serious about that. Doubt it, though.

not if it leads to changes, this is ridiculous

All Alfredo Dagna could do upon taking in the results of the Argentina soccer federation’s presidential election last night was collapse into his chair, propping his head up with his hand, probably so that he didn’t start banging it against the table. Those results? 38 votes for the challenger, 38 for the incumbent. The problem? There were only 75 voters.
