Certainly different than US team sports, if you saw opposing coaches getting physical with each other they'd be criticized a lot for setting bad example, etc.

Instead the NBC announcers are talking about the "passion of the Premier League" but it seems a lot of saltiness, especially on the first Spurs equalizer.

Chelsea may have an argument about penalties not called but why would Tuchel have a beef with Conte or vice versa?

I don't know about the appeal of a fight. They seem mismatched in size and age.

I am completely in Tuchel's side, could have send that little man flying if he wanted to, completely understand the saltiness, ref mistakes cost them 2 points plain and simple.

The U.S. media would tear them apart. But the coaches also aren't so close to one another in other sports. So confrontation between coaches is unusual.

Uh, NBA.

In baseball, they're in opposite sides of the diamond but there are some bench clearing brawls allowed so the managers could get together and have on occasion, usually not getting physical, just yelling in each others faces.

I think the elbow was retaliatory, but both were given a retrospective ban I believe.

I expect the same to happen to Romero. I agree that it's unsavoury and has no place in the game. Romero is honestly a nutter, he really treads a tight rope at times, but that edge is a big part of his game.

Even if they don't pull hair, don't they engage in more forceful physical actions?

Like elbows and shoves or pulling arms?

The hair is easier to detect of course.

Long hair has to be a hindrance in other ways like obscuring vision at times. Remember Elfred Payton with that stupid haircut. Well his shooting didn't improve after he cut it but I think the hair brought more criticism of his poor play than it otherwise would have.

When I used to play, you'd get hit with elbows and shoves especially in set piece situations. Hell I used to do my share of 'dirty' plays like deliberately pull on shirts from a corner to obstruct the guy I'm marking, or screen bigger players from corners (although that happens frequently at the top level without punishment). It's all part of the game, City are excellent at using tactical fouls and dirty play to wear their opponent down. Once you're in their head you should be able to secure a result.

Man lacks maturity, acts like a dumb kid, not to mention wasted chances. Very terrible first impressions.

 That's the way football goes most of the time, the team that is the overwhelming favourites bottle it. I'm tempted to put you guys on my accumulator as the odds are looking good right now.
