Nistelrooy is the interim manager.

In case anyone wondered what became of him after his playing career.

Last season, wasn't Arsenal one of the luckiest teams regarding injuries?

According to Transfermarkt, both Odegaard and Saka played in 35 PL matches. Rice and Saliba all 38.

I would say yeah for the first time in my life we've been pretty fortunate the last two years but still a Saliba injury murdered us 22/23 and Timber and Partey missing near all of last season hurts as well. Regardless not sure what that has to do with being a little unlucky so far this year.

The usual bad game at Newcastle...
If you're not using Nwaneri as the attacking midfielder, we had to hold on to Smith-Rowe or Viera.

Tbf though, a very good goal by Isak. Worldie of a cross by Gordon.

Bournemouth with two big notches on its belt, victories over Arsenal and now City.

They were talking about how Arsenal could be buried in November if City won and got 8 points ahead.

If Spurs could play as well away from home as they do at home, we would be a damn good team. We will continue to be wildly inconsistent unless our away performances improve. Great result against a strong Villa team today, capping off a great week in which we've beaten both them and City. Pape Sarr has been amazing lately, and Solanke seems to be finding his scoring form, which is much needed. Injuries, particularly to Romero and VDV, are a concern though.

With City, Arsenal and Villa all losing, this weekend feels like we've hauled ourselves up into a more respectable position. Shoutout to Forest as well, what a start to the season they've had.

Feels like this year could be up for grabs if a team gets hot.

Son was apparently very unhappy to be subbed out, after he had made the great pass for the first goal.

Otherwise, he didn't use to play out wide when he was paired with Kane. He doesn't seem to be able to get by defenders and get to the goal line for passing back out to the front of the goal.

He curled a great pass for Johnson to tap in but does he have the pace of the best wings to take the ball to the goal line consistently?

Excellent performance by Spurs, especially in the second half.

We fell apart in the later stages of that half and have some concerns with our RB coverage. Cash is an okay player, but consistently injured and our current answer to that is to move Konsa away from his best position.

A bit of a slump at the moment, but need to answer that with Club Brugge in a few days , followed by Liverpool.

Edu leaving to probably collect a huge paycheck at the footballgroup of the Forrest owner, which also contains Panathinaikos and Rio Ave.

It feels like City are proving that Rodri was worthy of the Ballon d'Or without actually getting on the pitch.

Yet another loss for City today.

Yes, and also Brighton are very good.

Agreed, didn't mean to take anything from them.

They're especially good at home, and Hurzeler's fluid 4-4-2 seems to be working well.

Early days but Liverpool are currently cruising at 5 points clear after today's 2-0 win against Villa.

As a Liverpool fan, it's hard not to be excited about what's happening. Currently a 5-point gap with second-place Manchester City, the next closest club 9 points adrift. Still only a quarter of the way, but thus far, LFC remain the constant while others have faltered.

What Slot has done is not being discussed enough. He's managed to follow a legend of the club while holding the respect of the players. In doing so, he was able to adjust the formation, leading to more control, which has allows the defense to shine. I'm not sure there's a better CB partnership (Van Dijk and Konate) in Europe.

Post the Manchester United victory, everyone, including myself, wanted to see how the club would fair against better competition.

vs. Chelsea - W
@ RB Leipzig (CL) - W
@ Arsenal - D
@ Brighton (Carabao Cup) - W
vs. Brighton - W
vs. Bayer Leverkusen (CL) - W
vs. Aston Villa - W

Upcoming matches:
@ Southampton
vs. Real Madrid (CL)
vs. Manchester City
@ Newcastle
@ Everton

Should they navigate these next several fixtures...

Tottenham... never change.

What's funnier, they'll likely beat Manchester City.

Chelsea on 19 points in 3rd, Brentford on 16 points in 11th. Even United have a chance at finishing in the top half.

Was always going to be tough against a thriving Liverpool at home, but pretty pleased with Villa's performance. 2 very poor defensive efforts from our set pieces got them their goals and we were still not clinical in our final 3rd, but definitely had some opportunities and most played better than previous weeks.

2 week break couldn't come at a better time for us. Reset and get ready for Palace in 2 weeks.

This season feels like it's going to be a BIG battle for spots in Europe, with a lot of teams in the running so far.
