Man I love O Fenomeno.

This is what Brazil is lacking. A total killer of a forward. Last really good striker they had was like Fabiano or something. Of course doesn't come close to my idol as a kid R9 but Brazil hasn't churned out any quality forwards in ages it feels like.

Remember when Fred was starting for Brazil? Jesus that must have been dark times.

Seems like lot of people are upset we didn't get an even matchup.

But what I saw was still greatness.

Argentina finally hitting their stride? They finally look like a WC winning team.

Shout out to magik9113. I think he was the one who called this from the beginning

Well, they have plenty of quality forwards like Jesus, Richarlison etc. but they're not out-and-out strikers, like you said. Richarlison is a winger who can sometimes masquerade as a striker, and Jesus is more like a support striker that holds and distributes the ball, supplementing the wingers, like he does well at Arsenal.

Their best attacking players like Neymar and Vini Jr, they're wingers. It's like death by a thousand cuts, and they sometimes struggle with a plan B as there isn't anyone that can reliably convert from crosses and high balls into the box.

I think France are the actual favorites if they beat Morocco... But neutrals and even betting odds will all be for the story of Messi getting it done. What bastard Mbappe, Griezman and co would be to deny it.

Yep, waved the white flag and looking for comfort hugs after that penalty kick. Even the low ranked Aussies put up more of a fight when they almost equalised in injury time. One of the weakest semis from recent memory.

Damn you guys are ruthless, poor guy's team just got knocked out of the World Cup semis, that **** hurts. I kind of agree with you both in regards to the game, but I don't blame him for feeling a bit angry and defensive too.

argentina is far from being a likeable team but i would back them over francers, french arrogance and bumptiousness would be hard to handle after two in a row.

i am just hoping for a good semi game, but probably more of the same tomorrow unless french defenders continue to turn penalty box into octagon and give up silly penalties.

Messi should be sent to jail for what he did to Gvardiol.

Argentina was a different team ever since Lautaro stopped playing, and Alvarez replaced him

Smh what else is new? Another bogus penalty awarded to Argentina. Absolutely disgraceful from fifa, I thought it couldn't get worse than holding the copa america every year just so the midget could win it.

We haven't had a great, all-time, timeless-tier player since 2006, I think.

Yes, Neymar doesn't count.

If you put current Neymar in that 2006 team (Kaká, Ronaldinho, Adriano, Ronaldo, Robinho, etc) team... he would be a reserve.

That's not even taking into account the other side of the field.

Nah everybody is fair game in football. Banter is a common feature of the sport. England copped it for days. It does hurt, I agree.
I actually wanted Croatia to advance (#Ivana Knoll), but telling people they don’t understand the sport was too good an opportunity to miss out on.
