For me, it's not really about Klopp, though I understand your jest.

Certainly, Coote should never be allowed to ref a Liverpool match again, though would another club want him on theirs, even if it's on VAR?

It's one thing to hold the feelings he has, but it's another to have them aired public, especially if your career relies on you being seen as neutral. If he's retained, every single decision he makes, for better or worse, will be questioned by fans. Suffice to say, his integrity/reputation is shot.

Totally, he has to go.

Especially after non existent penalty vs United he gave by being pressured by Oliver - which now even Webb officially admitted was wrong. I just wish there would be real penalties/suspensions for refs who constantly screw up. Oliver, Taylor, Cote, Attwell comes to mind for example.

Deserved 7-game ban for Bentancur. Rough summer for South Americans trying not to say racist things about their teammates.

It's bad but is it really 7-match ban bad?

His comments seem to reflect more racial/cultural ignorance than hateful racism. Those countries are not exactly known as the most enlightened places.

What other South American player said racist things?

I see it as more of a deterrent to others than just a punishment for Bentancur. But Bentancur is 27, playing in a league that draws players and fans from all over the world. At a certain point ignorance isn't a justifiable excuse.

After their Copa America win, some of the Argentinian squad (led evidently by Enzo Fernandez) filmed themselves singing about how the France national team's black players couldn't actually be French because they're black.

Maybe I'm looking at this half glass empty, but with Pep extending his contract for another year, feels as if he’s had assurances nothing will happen regarding the 115 charges...

Maybe wants to set records in third tier after being regulated.

I would think for him, it's a question of when he wants to retire. He's achieved almost everything there is to achieve as manager.

Does he want to be a lifer with one club, like Ferguson was?

A real challenge would be to take a mid-tier club, one which is not going to have the deepest pockets, and try to win trophies with it.

But once you've been at the top for such a long time, why would he take up that kind of challenge when he's closer to the end of his managing career rather than the beginning or even the middle?

I guess the only challenge which he hasn't pursued would be an international career, maybe trying to add a couple of WC and Euro trophies before he gives it up.

Spurs having pretty easy time of it at the Etihad.

Still almost 40 minutes left and then stoppage time and City has had some chances.

What a win, absolutely leathered them.

It feels like since Pep disparagingly called Spurs the "Harry Kane team", we've beaten them about 10 times without Harry Kane. Maybe we should start calling them the Rodri team?

Very few things I enjoy more than beating these 115 charges frauds. Your turn next week.

City has some older players who still play a lot for them. Rodri will be 29 next season and coming off ACL. KDB may be in Saudi Arabia.

Silva is 30, would have thought he would be older than that.

Maybe Pep regrets having Palmer go to Chelsea.

But their ownership has all these feeder clubs like Girona to send talent to City, right?

I was loving every minute of it, and not because I'm a fan of Liverpool.

All I hear is, "Pep this, Pep that. Haaland this, Haaland that." And yet, no personality (radio or TV) brings up the charges. As if they would actually be this juggernaut without them.

Tbf, City will not continue missing all those chances.
Everyone else should enjoy this slump and try to profit as much as possible.

Some interesting results, Villa drops points vs. CP, currently in the relegation zone, at home. Wow, it's only been a dozen games but Palace has been struggling.

Wolves with a big home at Fulham, who'd been playing pretty well, to climb a bit out of the bottom.

Brighton hangs on for victory vs. Bournemouth, after having a player sent off around the 60-minute mark.

United is a bad team.
It's time for 5 refs.
