He doesn't even scan once to see what's arriving in his periphery

This is unquestionably the worst CB to ever play in the English top division.

He's everything for us at the moment. Was playing LCB as a right footer and constantly put out fires in Chalobah's zone. Total superstar, one of the best Cobham have ever produced from that position.

Okay performance. Excellent off the ball, pressing and suffocating Spurs attempts to generate anything. Flip side is we were rather dull going forward. Garnacho looks like a standard grade academy product. Neto on the other side can run for days but is also very limited technically. Honestly shocked by JP, should have had three or four goals. Thankfully he got the one that mattered, but he needs to be better. Link-up, duelling and pressing was all great.

Caicedo, Cucurella, Reece James & Robert Sanchez titanic performances.

Always feels great to beat Totnum. We move, Chelsea.

Wolves are absolutely horrid. First half was a snoozefest, things opened up a bit more in the second. Garnacho two assists, a product of his directness. Enzo was fantastic, really starting to settle in now. Reaching a fairly high level of consistency week in & week out. Same with Sanchez, Cucurella and Caicedo.

Delap struggled to get into the game. Neto very erratic. Hated the progression & build-up from our centre backs but such is life.

Dynamic cameo from Estevao. He might actually be generational.

Any three points we collect without Palmer is just extra credit in the bank. Would be nice if our players could get some rest over intl break.

Pretty interesting start to the season for young Garnacho. Third in the entire EPL for expected goals + expected assists behind only Haaland and Estevao.

Not ever going to blow you away technically, but his relentlessness to make runs, his ability to cycle possession and his ball striking off both feet are all quite formidable traits.

Another goal for Estevao for Brazil and high praise from Carlo after the game. Making an extremely strong case to start at the World Cup.

Honestly he's giving our Youth Movement project a massive PR push. Prior to Estevao signing, the narrative was: zero pathway, chasing money, will be loaned out for eternity etc.

Now he's blossoming while Roque, Endrick, Moscardo, Guilherme, Echeverri, Reis, Barco (pre-Strasbourg) are on an alternative development curve.

Three more points done & dusted with Caicedo getting full rest off of two starts for Ecuador during the intl break.

Sanchez and Cucurella, clockwork performances. Neto was so good, the intensity he plays with and the work-rate were fantastic. That was a real captains performance by Enzo Fernandez who scores again today. Will he ever justify £105 million or whatever he cost? Likely not, but there's something about the tone he sets with his performances every single week. Low maintenance, drops deep and links play, pushes forward and turns into an output machine, tracks the most yards per match every week, leader, consistently available. He's one of the anchors of the club and he's starting to hit a real high level.

Andrey Santos with a brilliant start and performance in Caicedo's absence, I think at this stage he's firmly a #6. Looks most comfortable shielding the backline and letting his instincts take over. Nice to see him rewarded with the MOTM.

Some big games coming up with Barcelona on Tuesday and then a top of the table London Derby clash at Stamford Bridge next Sunday.

Up the mighty Chels.

Tone setting performance from every single player to step onto the pitch. Infectious 11 man cohesive pressing, completely synchronised in possession and a sensational strike from our wunderkind.

Fun evening.

Every single week, like clockwork.

It's players like him, Caicedo and Fernández who constantly push the pace for the club.

Will never take them for granted.

Well contested fixture. Feel a bit hard done by to leave with just the sole point, but considering the circumstances you have to accept it.

Shame for Caicedo to deliver that challenge in this fixture of all, but on the bright side he can accrue some well deserved rest.

For what was being spoken about as potentially the best side in Europe I thought we were equal or even the more decisive side 11v11 and even at 10v11.

Huge credit to Maresca, Big Rob in goal and Reece James with a five star performance in midfield.

No tbf, he's played well and got himself and the team an important goal.

Issue with Chalobah has never been in the fixtures against giants that also want to dominate territory and will high press.

Against Leeds, Palace, Sunderland, Brentford types (aka the majority of our fixtures) that will allow Chelsea the lionshare of possession and sit in a block, a player of this caliber on the ball consistently sets you back due to their inability to find an inventive pass to disrupt the opposition block.

He's built to be a midtable superstar.

An Arsenal fan made a compilation of... us asserting physical dominance over them, and I love it and I couldn't be more proud. I need more of it injected into my veins. This feels like Barclays era heritage. Our record in big games is as strong as it is due to the collection of high spirit & belief characters like Reece James, Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Colwill, Cucurella. Players like Joao Pedro, Malo Gusto and Liam Delap fit the mold as well. On the flip side though, the last thing you want is to establish a reputation of a team that loses their head in these moments. It's just another lesson this young squad is going to have to experience by walking through the fire.

First time someone's actually hit them back in the mouth and they turtled. Everybody can talk when they're up and this current AFC side and their 'dark arts' are a manifestation of that.

Crying bloody murder now when they celebrated Declan Rice judo flipping little Xavi Simons, putting his knee through the back of his head & screaming in his face just a week prior.

One of the worst performances of the season. Hats off to Leeds who were on it from 1'. Had pressure on early and then scored a tone setting header off an early corner.

Maresca trolling with lineups again in these 'smaller' fixtures, which is going to have to stop sooner rather than later. Chalobah RB, Tosin/Badiashile in the middle. Just looked clunky and slow. A billion mistakes trying to play out from the back. Way too slow and too cute and Leeds pressure made us pay. We also feel so slight without Caicedo in the middle soaking up pressure, helping us play on the front-foot and locking up the middle of the pitch. Shame on Lavia for still not being fit.

Down 2-1, Garnacho made a fantastic pass inside to Palmer which should/could have evened up the score, but it wasn't meant to be.

Hall of shame performance from Tosin in general, and yet we have to shake this one off fast. Bournemouth away in in just three days.

Games like today remind you that we're still in a top four scrap at this stage in time. Up the Chels.

Got to catch the match today as it was relatively good timing US-West but ended up a draw and I was not that impressed with the shots, offense kind of fizzled out. Fun competitive match though, Bournemouth looked good to me.
