Nice. Team can often disappoint, but at least you'll never be bored. I don't think there's a more fun club to follow than Chelsea right now: great young talents, huge signings, trophies here and there, frequent managerial changes, manager and fans taking shots at each other, racism controversies, ballboy fiasco, extramarital affairs, club legend being mistreated, biggest transfer flop of all time etc.

this is pretty funny

http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/ ... fa-twitter

#askrafa tweets - supposed to be questions for rafael nadal, but chelsea fans took over and turned it into a bash rafa fest.

I come from flyover country so the media tends to never notice my American teams so this will be new.

I also found out a few weeks ago that Romelu Lukaku is actually a Chelsea player but on loan to West Brom. That's awesome, I love watching him play.

Sup guys. On here for the Bulls mostly, but noticed the CFC thread and thought I'd drop in.

Been a fan since I was a kid, but took until last year to make it to the UK to live - although I'd been to plenty of away CL and friendly games around the world. Been to as many games as I could afford since, including a couple at Wembley. I highly recommend making the effort if you ever are over and get the chance!

Also, not to attempt to jack any members to go elsewhere, but is anyone on CFCnet by any chance? Been a mod there since the old version of the site (1999ish). Just curious if I've brushed shoulders with anyone.

Anyways, hoping we'll stuff those Romanians tomorrow! Peace.

Welcome :D

I actually did recognize you from your CFCnet username. I don't post there too often when the transfer window shuts, but I do regularly check and occasionally bump the Reserve & Youth team thread. Looking forward to the Juventus game on Sunday cause the Barca game was probably one of the more enjoyable Chelsea games this season.

Yeah I also post on the CFCnet forums, but mainly just the Transfer Talk board, and mainly in the transfer window. Probably have less than 20 posts total.

Same username. I think my only slightly contentious posts that might have drawn attention are on John Obi Mikel.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

So word in the media and Twittersphere is that El NoNo! got smacked in the face by an opposition player and then played the best 30 minutes of his Chelsea career (if you excuse the terrible penalty miss). Guess the rest of the lads know what to do whenever he's in the starting line-up from now on then! Should make for interesting warm up sessions...

Welcome Harvz, this is a nice place to discuss not a lot of people but very knowledgable group to have a good discussion.

He did, I wouldn't say his best 30 minutes of his Chelsea career but he did seem very motivated after he scored and looked like he really wanted to get involved.

Thank you Treiz. Nothing to do with Trizia per chance?

Been a Chelsea fan since 2011. Not my fault, I had forgotten all about soccer since moving to the U.S and becoming obsessed with basketball. My love for soccer was revived when I joined the Navy and made some European friends. It also didn't hurt that Colombia became relevant in the world of soccer again.

Nothing wrong with being a new fan. No need to ever apologize for it either! You'll get the group 'hardcore' local fans who think that anyone who doesn't piss beads with the names of 1960's players engraved on them is not a real fan, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. There are of course genuine bandwagoners as well, but whatever... it doesn't hurt anyone and they might even buy a shirt or two before they jump ship.

I really got into the NBA when I finally had access to a channel showing it (2004ish while taking a degree in Denmark). Before then it was just highlights. I'm a Chelsea fan to the core and nothing could ever compete, even if I have to go back to newspaper cuttings rather than live matches... but I LOVE basketball. Such an exciting game, and I have several long term connections to Chicago, so that is the obvious choice for me to pledge allegiance to. A bit of a bonus that they've not been a Final's calibre team for some time, so I don't feel like I'm going to stick out as one of the aforementioned bandwagoners ;)

NextGen team dominating Juventus so far. Juventus had to make two tactical changes 30 minutes into the game in a youth team game lol

Update: The game ends 4-1. Great goals and some very solid performances

^ All the goals from the NextGen game we won 4:1. The 4th goal is particularly nice (approx 1:08).

The Mourinho returning whispers are getting louder. Might just be the media pulling hats out of rabbits as per usual... or maybe, just maybe...

^All really good, worked goals.

As much as I want Mourinho to come back, I'd be very surprised if he does.
