After the WC, everyone was talking about a new dynasty, so I hope they don't fall apart.

Part of it is just that it's early in the cycle with the guys all coming off of that long and exhausting summer, and also in part because of the new qualification setup. Most big teams aren't taking qualifying this cycle seriously because not qualifying is almost impossible now for one of the big teams.

^8 more teams will join the Euro tournament. Makes it even more easier for teams like Germany to qualify.

First and Second place in those groups are automatically qualified while the best third place team will be there as well.
Those other third place teams will be in drawn into playoff matches to qualify as well.

BTW: I doubt the struggles of Germany are the reason of them not taking it seriously.
It's just bad use of their chances while conceeding dumb goals. We should've beating Poland but conceeded on two counter attacks and that draw against Ireland was a joke, as we should've sealed the deal way before and conceeded in the 93rd minute.

Though, the defense wasn't all that good and Loew didn't care for any central midfielders other then Kramer and Kroos. And if you're trying to play Kroos as your most defensive minded central mid, you'll be in trouble.

Boateng won't play against Spain in that friendly and Jogi nominated Robin Knoche of Wolfsburg.

That defense will be ugly and I can see a nice whopping coming against a spanish team that's added younger guys and want's to show they're still one of the best.

BTW: Somewhere in Gladbach Tony Jantschke's resting for the next games with Borussia while guys like Rudy(no full back), Ruediger, Ginter etc. are playing for Germany...

Bundestrainer Jogi Löw verlängerte seinen Vertrag vorzeitig bis zur WM 2018.

Get in. He's more flexible than Klopp. Can do all styles. He is one of the few managers who can do that.

Loew doesn't even have a style, so i don't know what would possess you to suggest he can operate multiple styles.

And being more flexible than klopp isn't something that needs to be said, my greatgrandmother is more flexible than Klopp and she died a decade ago.

Counter attacking football(2010)

Possesion football(2014)

Not many managers who can master both.

You could argue that Löw has only had 1 bad game(Italy 2012) in 8 years as Bundestrainer. I dont blame him for the defeats against the GOAT national team at their peak.

OK, so Tony Jantschke will never play for the german NT.

Also, he'll most likely call up Holger Badstuber for the EC qualifier later this month.

The Löw-Bayern thing is a myth.

IIRC there were a big number of players from smaller clubs in the XI against Poland in october.

It sucks, but hopefully Jogi doesn't ignore Jung and Itter (if he comes good) as badly as he has Tony, so that the NT doesn't suffer for Jogi's inability to scout teams that he doesn't already really on. Sucks for Jantschke but at least it'll make it easier to keep him and prevent him from being exhausted by summer tourneys with the NT...that he should be starting in...*sigh*

Hopefully someone in the DFB finds some balls if we don't win the Euros. Though Tuchel won't be an option any more then, so we have to hope another great coach is just sitting around then...Stupid **** like this, and running Netzer/Gerd out of the NT, is why Brazil have more WCs than us and why Spain beat us to back-to-back-to-back trophies.

I never said a thing about something like that.

Though, Löw would rather call up guys from his region(Freiburg, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim) and get smacked in the face then anyone else.

The team got selected for next weeks matches.

Goal: Neuer, Weidenfeller, Zieler( )
Defense: Boateng, Badstuber, Hummels, Mustafi, Howedes, Hector, Rudy(WTF?)
Midfield: Schweinsteiger, Khedira, Kroos, Kramer, Gündogan, Bellarabi, Götze, Reus, Schürrle
Attackers: Kruse, Podolski( )

Typical Jogi Löw friendly.

When was the last time Germany played great in a friendly?

It just doesn't feel right that they even play today. Nobody seems to care and I totally understand that.

I sont think the tragedy has anything to do with the result.

Germany always play bad in frendlies under Jogi Löw. I remember losses against USA, Australia, Norway, Switzerland(3-5?), big loss against Argentina, lucky draws against Cameroon, Ukraine, Paraguay and so on.

I do think it affects the players, some more than others. And the general atmosphere today is just... I don't know how to explain.

There shouldn't be an unnecessary soccer game today.

What a f*cking player. 2nd best German midfielder all time after Matthäus.

Dont know why he is/was so disrespected in Germany. Maybe because he played for Leverkusen when he was in prime and maybe because he was seen as the German Beckham when he played which obviously makes you a hateable object. Or because he is one of the few players that left Bayern for a foreign rival.

Can't believe some people say that Schweinsteiger is better. Ballack actually proved himself outside of Germany. Not many German players have done that. I havent seen a better WC performance by a German outfield player than Ballack's in 2002.
