We are STILL champions after this week's easy victory on Everton. :-)

Zieler to Leicester City.

Does this mean Schmeichel is gone?

No.

Our backup goalkeeper is 43 years old. He's sure to retire. We need a back-up. I don't know anything about Zieler but didn't his side just get relegated? I guess he thinks cup games and possibly a few league games with a CL team is better than relegation.

He's going to challenge Schmeichel and it's a good deal for Leicester, thanks to his release clause of €3.5M.

Though, he could also be a home grown player, given that he spend a lot of his youth days at Manchester United and there's no way he's just looking at cup games, given that he certainly wants to try and get his spot back as a backup keeper of the german national team.

Still, a bit of a strange move cause Schmeichel was great this season(won't be easy to beat out) and I though Zieler wanted to the clear cut #1 keeper of his new team.

Kasper has periods of every season when he doesn't play so well. I wouldn't mind him getting some competition but can't see that Zieler is it.

Still if he's good enough to be Germany's no.2 maybe he's good enough to be our no.1.

Need to do more research.

The more I'm reading about him the better I feel. Would love a GK that supplants Kasper.

Looks to have strong wrists and good reflexes. What is his coming for crosses like? Does he control his 6yd box?

So Kanté gone - money chasing.

Kramaric gone - playing time

Zieler, Hernandez, Musa and Mendy in.

I'm guessing that Mendy and Amartey are here to replace Kanté but we may now see a 20m offer for Lemina or another big name like Carvalho.

Wonderful trademark Mahrez goal in the Celtic friendly. Curled it in at the far post after cutting in from the right.

It was a beauty and he had a fantastic game. Arsenal will probably offer £60m for him now.

Thought we looked good for what was only our second pre-season match.

I'd like an alternative striker - like Ulloa but with a better finish and if possible a little more speed. Happy to break our record to get one.

Albrighton and Drinkwater should be in Sam's next squad. Albrighton is fast, presses well, covers excellently and throws in crosses quicker than a vampire hunter.

mahrez and kante were the only cl level talent leicester had, if both are gone it will be a short stay for leicester in that competition. other clubs need to need to pick it up to keep up england's coefficient.

Yes they were. Like Cambiasso the previous season. We managed okay when he left.

Does our victory over Celtic make us "British Champions" now?
