Well done Wales. Have to say, they have a good team there.
Proud of the Spurs boys too. Bale, Rodon and Davies all put in good shifts, even if Bale ballooned that penalty.

Tbf Turkey are supposed to be the youngest team of the tournament but play like they already retired.

Italy look sharp.
Gonna be hard for everyone to beat them.

Turkey been major disappointment again. Looked very promising before the tournament and now looks like crap.

They've looked good but then again they have 3 crap teams in their group.

Re: UEFA European Championship 2020 - Group Stage
I bet 20euros on France winning the tournament and Mbappe being the top goalscorer.
I feel very confident for the first part but Benzema's return has gotten Mbappe out of position (sort of). Plus, the penalty taker for France is Griezmann, right?
Damn it. I have to wait for a hat trick against Hungary or something, to feel confident about this.

I think the top six teams, on paper, are:
1st France
2nd Italy
3rd Portugal
4th Belgium
5th Germany
6th Netherlands
Matchups, tactics, morale, conditioning, and rest days notwithstanding, I think any of those top 4 in particular have a really good chance.

Looking forward to see how Denmark responds today. Even if they lose today but beat Russia they have good chance at advancing.

I would swap Belgium to 2d and Italy to 3d. Netherlands I think not a top 6 team just yet.

Can't ask for better start from Denmark.... could have score one more for better cushion but I will take 1-0 lead at the half.

What a first half they played! I was very impressed and apparently the eleven on the pitch also...
Now it's our turn. De Bruyne on, Witsel and Eden following.

When they're on, Belgium is the most fun team to watch.

yeah, clinical finishes by Belgium. Denmark with 21-6 shot advantage yet no pts again.... finishing is a problem. Hopefully they will convert them vs Russia.

Why is Hinteregger pushing forward and Alaba playing centre back.

I really don't get why Alaba isn't playing in midfield or on the left.
Insane decision.

They even did this against North Macedonia of all teams...and the first time Alaba was in the opposing last third...he immediately assisted.

The expansion of the Euros was a bad idea.

I only saw the second half but heard about how well Denmark played in the first. I think that was always going to be the case with the emotion but sadly it's hard to sustain that. It was so nice to see Eden Hazard playing and looking so good. I realise that I joke about tielemans being the best Belgian footballer but yesterday he only made the 3rd best midfielder. Hazard ought to come back to England and join Leicester.
No reason Denmark can't beat the Russians. a win would put them in the knockout stages which is the goal of the group games.
