Though that pic was photoshopped, yep it doesn't look good.

At least we know where he keeps the 2002 WC ball.

That other pic was hilarious. Looked like a Latino Kim Jong-un with the haircut.

Ronaldo was one of my favourite players but he needs to get healthier and quick.

The other pic was photoshopped. I'm trying to find it to post it here, but couldn't ATM. Here's a similar pic:

Ronaldo has hypothyroidism... it takes A LOT of exercise & diet to stay in shape, and at this stage of his life, with other obligations (he has multiple businesses), I don't know if he wants to take the battle.

I think I'll be rooting for France if they advance tomorrow... a brazilian can't root for Argentina, it's a simple law of the universe.

Mbappé will be a happy fellow Sunday night.

Yep, check page 63 of the other thread to see some videos about that team. Their best matches didn't even happen in the WC!

As for Ronaldo, he was around 25/26 at the time of this pic I think... he's 40/45 now, it's hard to maintain the same body unless you train A LOT.

For reference, have a look at a 50-year old Rivaldo, he trains all day.

Keep his calves away from paper. One paper cut and he might die.

I thought hypothyroidism is completely treatable, as in there's no difference between someone on medication and someone without hypothyroidism? I know some people live normal lives without thyroids

Rivaldo was such a beast. Not the best Brazilian, but probably my favorite Brazilian.

EDIT: Then I scroll through his feed and see he's a Bolsonaro guy. F'ing barf.

The biggest thing when you get older is that you can’t eat what you used to. You got to stick to eating things you hate to maintain a weight you had 10 years ago.

I think about how most boxers blow up after retiring. I mean it is absurd the amount of calories most professional athletes burn while doing their thing. They stop but don’t stop eating what they used to do this the blow up.

I'm not saying this isn't true. Def is. Especially for athletes.

But for me.... I'm definitely eating more as I get older lol. And a desk job only makes it easier.

Back in my mid/early 20s, I'd be able to sleep like 10 hours a day. Sleeping means more testosterone. And it also means I ain't eating during that time lol

I get around 6-7 now. A little more on weekends. More time in the day = more time to snack

I can legit eat 4 meals a day now. And sometimes 5. Luckily, I'm still at 200 pounds (I'm 31 now). I used to be 175 in my mid 20 prime. And I used to only east 2-3 meals a day.

Actually burst out laughing.

Man I love O Fenomeno.

This is what Brazil is lacking. A total killer of a forward. Last really good striker they had was like Fabiano or something. Of course doesn't come close to my idol as a kid R9 but Brazil hasn't churned out any quality forwards in ages it feels like.

Remember when Fred was starting for Brazil? Jesus that must have been dark times.

You think Fred is bad? They had Hulk starting, a f***ing fridge out there.

This kind of passed under the radar and has nothing to do with football but...

https://news.sky.com/story/eu-vice-president-eva-kaili-stripped-of-role-amid-qatar-corruption-scandal-12767397

... yeah.

In a speech in the European Parliament on 21 November as the World Cup was starting in Qatar, Ms Kaili described the country thusly:

"(Qatar is) a frontrunner in labour rights. They committed to a vision by choice and they opened to the world. Still, some here are calling to discriminate them. They bully them and they accuse everyone that talks to them or engages [with them] of corruption."

Sure thing Eva. Can't blame the Qataris for tossing money at the Greek blonde. The details of just how conspicuous this clumsy attempt at trying to influence decision making in the EU are hilarious.

When a Qatari money-bags-daddy, meets a young, inexperienced, telegenic, and excessively ambitious European politician, you get... the Belgian police stumbling upon a suitcase in a hotel room with 1.5 M euros in cash.

yikes, 1.5 million cash in bags? no shell corporations, no family land deals, they are not even trying to hide their corruption anymore.

The news in Portugal is that Fernando Santos and the FPF have mutually agreed to part ways, which saves the FPF a lot of cash if they were forced to fire him with two years left on the contract.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the FPF has offered José Mourinho the possibility of coaching the national squad while simultaneously retaining his current job coaching AS Roma.

This could be nonsense, but I'd obviously LOVE Mourinho.

Mourinho was reportedly invited by the FPF to coach the national squad back in 2012 when Paulo Bento's contract was set to expire just prior to the qualifiers for the Euro 2012. He was also then offered the job while retaining his main gig at Real Madrid. Mourinho accepted but Florentino Perez did not, remarking at the time that "it wouldn't be ethical for him to have two jobs with so many unemployed coaches."

Despite his heydays likely being behind him, I believe Mourinho may have a lot more leverage right now at Roma then he did at Real.
