Wolfsburg are done without De Bruyne. At €60 mil they shouldn't even be thinking about selling him. It's not like money is an issue for them.

I hope they keep him for one more year. Would definitely miss him in the BL.

€60m. That's nothing for ManCity. It's less than what they paid for Sterling.

Wolfsburg doing the exact same thing they did last time they had a elite team. Sold their best player to ManCity.

Haven't read much about City and de Bruyne lately but we'll see.
And I also doubt that anyone would be mad if they'd sell him and take a step back, again.

BTW: Some news.
RB Sascha Riether from Freiburg to Schalke(WTF?)
GK Sascha Borchert from Hertha to Oslo
Real seems to be interested in Wolfsburg LB Ricardo Rodriguez but apparently was told no by the player
Winger Francisco Rodriguez(brother of Ricardo) from FC Zurich to Wolfsburg
Gladbach Striker Peniel Mlapa possibly to Birmingham

Also, Rafael van der Vaart supposedly told an english newspaper(yay) that leaving Tottenham and signing with Hamburg was the dumbest decision of his career.

That would be hell of an expensive gamble.
13/14 he played mediocre at best and 14/15 he was injured (and pre-injury didn't really play well either).

schalke messed up when we were ready to throw a lot of money at draxler. The offer they get now isn't going to be close

He also referred to Andre Villas Boas as "what's his name" and Harry Redknapp as being "like a dad" in the same interview.

Miss the guy. Shame his form dropped so badly.

Darida's first 10 minutes for Hertha > Sandro Wagner's whole career

Sandro Wagner's team once won a match against Lord Bendtner squad 927-926. Bendtner scored all 926 goals but Wagner just scored one more.

We have to find a way to convince Gala to take him. That would be the funniest thing that ever happened

BTW, Dardai is a mean guy. Nominates only 14 players for a preseason game and they look completely gassed after 40 minutes

They're holding out for 35m for him. His buyout was 45m and you never triggered it. So they will get an offer that's close.

Van der Vaart bleeds HSV. The clubs means much more to him than Spurs.

It's fitting that his last game for HSV turned out to be one of the most memorable ever.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

Top mentality.

I wonder when he is going to move away from his habit of mourning about Bayern's dominance and starts focussing on his job again. That might be the time Dortmund can make the CL again.

Lets face it....in recent years:
Armenian - biggest flop in league history
Kagawa back - flop
Ramos - flop
Immobile - flop
Kampl - possible flop
Ginter - possible flop

80 mil. € drained down the toilet. Only real good purchase was Aubameyang (and I'm not even that big of a fan of him).

Wolfsburg is interested in Draxler...probably as a replacement for De Bruyne in case he leaves.

Good point and has always been the problem of teams which where able to compete with Bayern for stretches. Yes, they indeed have lost key players either to Bayern or international giants. But in most cases, they received high transfer fees and simply didn't spend it wisely enough.
To be honest, it is impossible to strike gold with every signing. But seriously, Mkhitaryan hasn't shown anything so far in order to support paying 27.5 M € for him. I don't even see flashes of brilliance which suggest that he could still develop into a top class player instead of being an average Bundesliga player.
Of course it was a tough task to replace Götze, but please don't tell me that they couldn't have done any better with 37 M €.

Striker Sven Schipplock from Hoffenheim to HSV for €2.5 M.

Isn't he in the same mold as Lasogga?
I mean, I get that the tall dude misses half of the season most of the time but Schipplock? What's next?
Julian Schieber and/or Sandro Wagner?

BTW: Don't make that much about Watzke's comment. He likes to talk anyways and isn't all that wrong given that the 2nd highest budget is about half of what Bayern pays their players.

Also, the football less time finally ends today with Duisburg and Kaiserslautern opening the season of the 2nd Bundesliga. :D

And there's also an interesting friendly(at least for me :P ) going on today with FC Porto visiting Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Will be interesting to see how Favre's formation will look like, given that the final friendlies are here and with us playing at St. Pauli on August 10th in the first round of the german cup.

I'm especially interested in our defense given that Stranzl's still not there, Dominguez having back problems again and with Elvedi missing a couple more weeks. Andreas Christensen(pretty good training camp so far) time, maybe.

Good old Kevin Kuranyi to SAP. Weird.

I would pay a lot of money to see Wagner and Lasogga play together...far away from Berlin

Why am I not surprised about that?

Gladbach won the friendly against Porto 2-1 with Stindl and Traore scoring for Gladbach and Aboubakar for Porto.
Though, during stretches of that 2nd half you could see Porto being a good team with some more starters playing for them.

BTW: Kaiserslauern's up by 2-0 at Duisburg after 20 minutes. The Zebras are playing defense like an under 15 team.

Also, in the Regionalliga Northeast Jena won 3-0 while Zwickau's leading at BFC Dynamo by 3-0 after about 50 minutes.

Seems like di Santo is going to Schalke. Mediocre move for both sides I guess.

He's no upgrade for Schalke and might rot on the bench behind "superstar" Huntelaar.
And for Bremen they sold Selke to keep di Santo and are now losing him, too. Where are the goals going to come from for Werder Bremen? I have no idea other than Junuzovic free kicks (now that is a man Schalke couldve used instead of di Santo).
