Sure. But it's not like they were forced to deliver. Now against Italy they'll be forced to deliver.

I'd still bet on Spain to reach the finals before I bet on Croatia to reach the finals.

Just let it go, man. This bizarre England vs. Turkey thing is getting silly.

HIF should do the same too.

Congrats on the win btw!

Are we making game threads for the knock out stages or will it just be one general thread round-by-round.

So, according to your logic, you don't know if Spain took this game serious while they went to the game with top squad? Mate, Croatia missed 5 players from starting XI.

Now Spain can enjoy France, England, Germany and Italy while Croatia has road to the finals if they keep playing their game.

My logic tells me to never take group stage games/results too serious.

Look at 2012. Spain - Italy 1-1 in group stage but when the spotlights were on in the final Spain absolutely destroyed Italy.

It is not that easy, Italy had a decent starter eleven but didn't have good reserve so, in the final, the player was exhausted from a long season and a tough competition (Spain, Croatia, Ireland, England, Germany).
Meanwhile Spain had a really good group and del bosque rotate them very well and they arrived in final quite fresh...

England unbeaten. Turkey beat a team of turds in what turned out to be an overrated group.

Spain are not what they used to be Ramos should retire.

But it was good to see the team you berated so badly before your group starting winning the group. Told you Kramaric would do it.

Unbeaten against who? Slovakia, Wales and Russia. Lol. The easiest group probably ever.

Our group has Spain, Croatia, Czech. Spain and Croatia would rip England apart.

They couldn't rip Turkey apart and turkey are a couple of football levels below England as results have shown.

Good question, I have a preference for round-by-round threads to reduce clutter, but I'll ask Ozzy about it.

24 teams and 16 are going to the next round.

Fuc*, they are ruining this competition that usted to be known as the hardest cup to win at national teams level.

Its all about the money.

Hahah england gets nothing more than 3 pts if they were in our group. Sad but true. All the expectations, epl players are not enough as they usually suck in european and national competitions anyway.

Should've left it at 16 teams or went with 32 teams. The current rule with 3rd place teams able to qualify is garbage.

Not to mention it's severely watered down the quality of the football itself. Teams know they can qualify just by parking the bus and we've seen a whole new level of cynical, dismal football.

Your brain age must be around 7 or so.

Why are you still comparing Turkey vs England. It's apples vs oranges. Compare england against Germany, France, Italy or Spain and see how embarrassing the result is

You guys are the biggest losers. I am not saying this, stats say so.

Man, Paul Robinson... some bad memories right there. He was the Spurs goalie for what felt like a decade, man is HORRIBLE.
