2013-14 German Bundesliga Thread: Bayern Champs Again

Add in the fact that they underachieved in the Bundesliga last year and you know they'll scratch the 80 point mark again like in 11/12.

With only two teams ever (1x Bayern, 1x Dortmund) reaching the 80 point mark in history (including adjusted 2 point system), I doubt that.

Only team that was close is Bayern '72, '73 (79 points) & '99 (78 points).

It'll happen. Maybe not 80 but definitely close to it. Dortmund have better depth this year and won't drop as many points after CL games.

End to end stuff in the opening minutes. Volland is exceptional.

Might not always be the best tactic result-wise but I love how teams try to battle it out on offense in the Bundesliga. It's also the reason why German NT has so many offensive talents currently.

If you watch Serie A the away teams hardly come to play in many games. They come to destroy and disrupt the game. In the Bundesliga, even the worst teams usually come to play in away games. Unless of course it's against Bayern or Dortmund.

Dortmund do have that "just get winz"ness that they had in their championship years going this year. With the better depth they should be able to weather both the BuLi and the CL.

Speaking of teams playing attractive attacking football based on their smooth possession game, my union-er are atop of the table in Buli 2! Ground out a 1-0 win on the road and could've snagged another goal or two as Kreilach almost blasted one home from long range again and there was a smooth break that created a great chance that went just wide. I can't imagine we'll hold onto a promotion spot, but the defense has been a lot better this year, especially with the switch to a lone striker that let them bolster the midfield, and our possession game is so smooth and sexy.

I love watching the Bundesliga even though I'm a huge Milan fan.

Rooting for Dortmund this year from the German sides, especially in the CL because I think they deserved it as much as Bayern did last year! Would be a pretty scenario.

There were some discussions about Steaua's coach Laurentiu Reghecampf about 2 weeks ago.Young coach,played in Germany for like 9 yrs so he knows what the deal is there

Biiig loss yesterday, though. Even though my Geissböcke managed only a tie at home, we're sitting pretty! Wild weekend so far in BL2 with some surprises at the top.

I really want to go to that game but it absolutely collides with of my bachelor thesis.

Yeah that really sucked. Tusche has the 2-0 on his foot and instead of doing what he does 9 times out of 10 and slotting home the ball gets stopped and they charged down the pitch to tie. After that our defense just fell apart.

Kreilach really had a disaster of match, hope he can bounce back.

Bayern is the freaking best team in the world. Schalke started the game really well and after 25 minutes the scoreline is still 2-0 in favour of Bayern.

OT: I just went voting. Merkel will almost certainly stay in power, but I enjoy exercising my constitutional right to choose my government. My prediction: CDU-CSU 42%, SPD 26%, Greens 8%, Linke 9%, FDP 5,5%, AfD 6%, Pirates 2% - nothing really changes.

On topic: watching Bayern bully Schalke was extremely scary. S04 looked like a schoolboy team.
