Here's to hoping we can take advantage of Leverkusen probably being a bit tired from Thursday.
Probably not, though, with our defensive commander and best striker injured. :nonono:

I've lived in different countries and nobody cares about Bundesliga outside of Germany.

Forget about England. They will always be the biggest league because of language factors as well. But why Spain and Italy? Germany is a bigger footballing nations than both of them.

Even a club like Bayern. Massive club, dominant etc. but not even close to having a global fanbase like Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Germany are terrible at marketing unlike the Brits. People think Albert Einstein and Heidi Klum are American. Everybody knows David Beckham and The Beatles are English. That's the difference. Munich and Hamburg are some of the greatest cities in the world but people would rather travel to Chicago or Milan. Despite the fact that Germany dominates the car industry it's still Ferrari that's the most iconic brand. And everybody knows it's made in Italia.

Why do you always see Italian flags when you buy shoes or fashion from one of their brands? You see American flags and Union Jack everywhere as well. Just compare how big a role America plays in the Nike brand compared to the role Germany plays in the Adidas brand. It's the completely opposite.

So yeah, marketing is the problem in my opinion. And the fact that the clubs hire the same old boring managers and buys mediocre nothing players or young unknown prospects. I thought the league would get more attention after the 2014 WC win, but no. It's pretty much the same.

Spain has a language advantage as well. Also, Real Madrid and Barcelona benefit from each other. Germany needs another Bayern Munich.

And there is a very good reason Albert Einstein is known as an American :D

He isn't though. Neither is Heidi Klum. At least among my friend and and family.

I know he became an American citizen, but no one thinks of him as American.

So yeah, we played a game against a tired side and looked like the ones playing on Thursday. :nonono:

Anyways, them goals are nice and easy to come by against us but we at least got a point from that terrible place called Augsburg, were we never win or so...

Though, we're currently playing a terrible mix of Favre/Schubert against the ball and that's why goals and chances are just going to happen anyways.
Next one on Wednesday against Stuttgart, who we haven't beaten at home for nearly 30 years. And after that a nice trip to Wolfsburg, were we never look good.
Fun times folks, fun times upon us...

I don't think we can do it but if it happened...that probably means we have to buy a whole new starting XI in the offseason.
Malli is gone for sure...and if the team continues to play like they are currently doing there will be lots of good offers.

Karius is the MVP, though. Very underrated keeper.

Yunus Malli. What a great player he is. Hakan Calhanoglu and Yunus are doing great in BuLi. Hopefully, they get better and better everyday so that we can finally see them in a top team at a top league like EPL or Spanish League or Serie A. We also expect a lot from them for Euro 16. Even though they were raised in another country, I am glad that they followed their heart over professional feelings like Ozil and chose to play for their real NATIONAL team.

Yunus Malli-Calhanoglu-Arda
---------Burak Yilmaz-----------

It is a scary trio.

That's an interesting way to spin not being good enough to ever start for our NT...

Good luck with playing Malli at the wing. It will be same failure as playing Özil at the wing.

We're in 4th place, yay.

On the other hand.
Schalke's pretty much the worst use of financial resources ever.
They're always in the top three financially and yet their product on the field makes your eyes bleed.
If they're not lucky and one of their high paid(or over priced) guys somehow scores one, they can't get anything to go.

Horst Heldt.

For Huntelaar's salary you can probably pay half our starting XI.

I disagree. Malli has a lot of Mkhitaryan in him; and though took some adaptation, the Armenian has been arguably BVB's best player this season (it's between him, Ilkay and Auba) as a winger.

Schalke's best players are still extremely young, and they rely on a lot of them; their defense is as decimated by injuries as yours or Bayern's; and their only forward worth a damn is ECMC. I've been watching a lot of them this year...because I <3 LeGo and I was curious how Breitenreiter would do at this level...and they can be frustrating; but I actually think they've gotten pretty solid results in the league given that youth, injury crisis in defense and poor striking options. Although failing to score in Ukraine and **** the bed at home to Shakhtar was ugly.

If no one pays that absurd fee for Sane this summer, and Heidel works his magic to bolster their options up front and at CB (and/or Kehrer is ready sooner than expected); they should be much more consistently fluid next season...although they should be playing a 4-3-1-2 with

ECMC - Sane
Meyer
LeGo - PEH
Geis

in front of the backline.

Frankfurt should get relegated and just play all of their kids in BuLi2 next year. Bunjaki and Waldschmidt are talented enough to fire them straight back into the top league, and are ready to play consistent minutes at that level.
