I just wasted 40 minutes of my life. Disgusting something.

Something because it is definitely not football.

Definitely a snooze-fest....Not sure how Mexico expects to make the World Cup playing like this....

Put in Giovani, though i doubt he'll make us any better. Vela can't save this team either.

Mexico will win this. They have to or they will be in trouble.

Corona was huge. Very lucky to escape Kingston with three points.

Mexico was looking good the past couple years, including the winning the olympics...what happened? maybe the same thing that may be happening with team USA?

They have a lot of talent, but it just doesn't seem to be working out. One thing is for sure, I never take the Mexicans for granted. They always show up and are a tough out in the WC.

definite fact, and i'm sure they'll get it together. I would ask if there's been a qualifying campaign where them and US have struggled like this, but there is still time for both teams to take their usual spot at the top of the table and I expect it to happen..especially after Mexico's win today..regardless of recent form

Mexico and U.S should be glad Concacaf and Conmbol never got mixed as was proposed a few years back. On their current form, one of the 2 would probably get left out.

Mexico struggles against defensive teams (bunker ball). Compound this issue by x100 with the midfield they are fielding (Torrado & Zavala). Both of these guys offer little offensively (Torrado: NOTHING----Zavala: okay offensive contribution). They need to bench Torrado for Hector Herrera (a creative midfield...future Porto player) to dissipate the lack of creativity in the middle.

Chepo made the right step in moving Salcido from the midfield to LB. The reason because Salcido typically pushes forward and tends to leave a massive gap in the middle (and offers very little in attack).

Mexico tends to be very predictable in the attack (a lot of wing play i.e. crossing) and no play from middle. Chepo needs to recognize that he needs to play the middle to break these bunker ball teams from there NOT from the wings. Guardado isn't THAT good on the wings and Barrera is only decent to meh.

That said, I think if Mexico makes it to the WC, we will see a lot more improvement in overall play because a lot of the teams there do not play defensively and likes to attack. Mexico is at its best when they face against an offensive minded team (allows open play). Same goes with the Confeds. Mexico will not look lackluster there as they are in the qualifiers because teams like Italy, Brazil and Japan (Mexico's group) do not fear Mexico and will make the game an open game (which plays in hand with Mexico's plan).

Venezuela leading Bolivia in the 2nd half, 1-0 @ La Paz. Of course, the big one is coming up next in about 25 minutes(Colombia @ Argentina).

0-0 at the half. Great game with lots of chances. 10 against 10 since about the 25th, Higuain and Zapata were both sent off.
