Re: Juventus FC
Giovinco is a similar kinda left winger/striker. I really like him as a player but I'll pass.
Just sign Alonso already and look at what we need on defense.

Re: Juventus FC
Juventus needs to buy onlu a CM , and eventually a LB , cause Molinaro really aind't that good and de Ceglie is too young .

Re: Juventus FC
I'd like to get a top notch CB to pair with Chiellini long term too.

Re: Juventus FC
On June 21, 2008, Corriere dello Sport reported that Juventus has swooped to sign Croatian international Knežević on a season-long loan deal worth £200,000, with the option to make the move permanent at £1million following Livorno's relegation to Serie B.
He is another decent center defender in addition to Andrade, Legro, Mellberg.
I expect to see Mellberg get some time on the right this year too.
It is rumored that they are after Quaresma and Arda Turan from Turkey and would send Zebina+Almiron to Galatasaray for him.
However, both of these guys are attacking/left midfielders (like Giovinco and Nedved).
This is Nedved's last year so that could be why they are looking for a replacement?

Re: Juventus FC
There are rumors in Turkish tabloids that Juventus is interested in bringing Fatih Terim as a coach and Arda Turan as a replacement for Pavel Nedved. "Tabloids" is the key word though.

Re: Juventus FC
i don't like quaresma.
arda turan would be a valuable player.
and i don't think changing coach would be the right thing to do. i'd still give ranieri another year to see what he can do.

Re: Juventus FC
Arda is going to be a great player, dont be surprised if he is better than Fabregas and Ribery in couple years.
As for Terim, he is a great motivator but probably not a good idea for Serie A championship contender.

Re: Juventus FC
He coached fiorentina but did not get along with the team's president so it didn't go to well, then Milan in 2001 but got sacked after a couple months due to poor results.

Re: Juventus FC
he is very effective in both positions. he played as a winger in the Euros and last part of season with Galatasaray. Played as a CM most of this season and last season. If i had to choose i would put him on the right wing.

Interesting because I rate Farbregas alongside the likes of Kaka, Ronaldo and Messi.

Re: Juventus FC
I'm a Juve fan too. By the way, the Turkish newspapers say Galatasaray chairman Adnan Polat rejected a 20 million euro offer for Arda(from some Russian club), and he says Arda will stay at Galatasaray next season. But, our newspapers are famous for their lies, so don't count on them. And, I would never want Terim on my team.

Re: Juventus FC
Latest rumor from goal.com:
- Aquilani's father (who also represents him) agrees to personal terms with Juve, but Roma don't want to sell him. Should we find an agreement with Roma (however unlikely) for a transfer fee, the deal is pretty much done. Please let it happen.
----------
Dario Knezevic has been signed. Up on the official website too. What do you guys think of the signing?

Re: Juventus FC
I would really love Aquilani on this team.
Knezevic is okay...he won't start or play that much. He is behind Chiellini, Andrade, Legro, and probably Mellberg.
Should have got an outside back instead.
