I've never seen a team with "no money" on the cusp of breaching league rules sign so many players. Must be a big bank loan involved, or they have guaranteed money coming in from elsewhere (De Jong?).

Sold more TV rights recently I think plus I think they may have a few on their way out, but yeah only Barca can get away with this its insane and makes me sick tbh

So wait, they sold TV rights? So that means that x percentage of their future TV income goes to whatever investment firm bought them?

That seems incredibly foolish and short-termist, unless I'm missing something.

They are gambling to work for them like it worked for Real Madrid in 2000 when they sold their training complex. Those money basically created the Galacticos era and made Real Madrid what is today. But this is different since we are talking about mortgaging the future, not just selling some real estate that you don't really need. And their transfers are not that impressive. We are not talking about prime Figo, Zidane and Ronaldo here.

34 year old Lewandowski and some good players that might turn great in Spain, but you never know. HUGE irresponsible gamble. Plus none of them have the marketing value that Figo Zidane Ronaldo and Beckham had back in early 2000s

Newcastle are turning into a bit of a joke.

They actually offered £40m for Maddison yesterday. It'd have to be £80m for us even to consider him leaving and that was if he were forcing himself out. Newcastle have to decide if they want to challenge or are happy to be 8th to 12th.

Really happy with the Zinchenko deal. 30M is a bargain imo.
Still in need of an extra midfielder though. Probably when some dead wood is gone.

Did I just catch you while talking yourself into overpaying for a ManCity bench player?

Sterling worst season in City was like 13 PL goals, City bench players are better than starters in Man utd,Tottenham, Arsenal. Zinchnko is one of those players who was good enough to start in City, always dominate in Ukraine.

I hate City but let's not be crazy to say Fred,Xhaka,Maguire, Dier,Lacazette types are better players than Zinchenko,Jesus, Sterling, Grealish,Laporte,Gundogan,Stones,Foden. :)

Yeah, I wasn't reading city bench player as a slight, even if it was intended as such. **** city. Bastards.

There‘s plenty of left backs with the same quality as Zinchenko. I just don’t know why you would pay 30 mil. for a guy who is about the 16-20th best player at City.

Also, I don’t know why you would compare the situation to Sterling because he is obviously more talented than Zinchenko and plays a different position.

Or does anyone honestly believe that Zinchenko will make Arsenal a much better team? I don’t.

I don't know how good Zinchenko will be in Arsenal because it is seems he is better in midfield than left back judging by his international play. It is relative, he is more highly rated than Tavares,Cedric, injury prone Tierney. Being top 15 in City isn't bad when he is competing vs players who would never play for Pep. You need to watch more of his games. Of course he isnt a world class player that will carry Arsenal on his own but every quality player will improve Arsenal. It is like before Partey Arsenal's central midfielders was not top 6 quality.

Hard to say because of the system at City, plus he had Cancelo in front of him who is obviously better than him. I see the logic in why Arsenal signed him, Artetas connection to City and they needed a durable player at LB. Tierney is arguably better yes, but he is very injury prone.

I think Zinchenko has a lot to prove in that Arsenal team, I can see him being a big player for them to be honest.

It's weird I've seen so much praise for Newcastles transfer window, but I only rate Botman as one of their signings. If anything I think Newcastle has been underwhelming so far considering the expectations of what everyone thought they'd do.

On the Maddison front, I've seen rumours of you guys going after Auoar if he were to be sold. That is potentially good business because selling Maddison for 60+ mill and getting a player thats valued at 11 mill who has been always highly rated is very good business.

Chelsea trying to hijack the Cucurella deal now.

They always seem to go after the contentious players who are in talks with other clubs.

It’s weird, they haven’t been first to any player this window. Boehly is coming across as naive, I don’t know if he has proper scouting reports or what. I’m sure I can do see that he is their director of football too, which I find odd because owners normally employ someone to do that.

I’m a bit surprised that Brighton didn’t target Aaron Hickey especially when they found out that Cucurella doesn’t want to stay.

We're not selling Madders for a mere £60m. He may be only a "villa-level" player but he's going rock the prem in the early season and force the idiot in charge of England to take him to the WC. You know the guy who was sacked by England women so that they could win something.

I hope you guys don’t sell him, I like Madders and I hope he plays the rest of his career with you guys. Psshhh Southgate is a punk, he’ll find a way of bringing players that have no right being in the squad over Madders even tho he’ll probably play well.

Let’s hope I’m wrong about Southgate.

I know this is old news, but Charles De Ketelaere is going to Milan.

This lad really looks like he could be special, from the dozen or so games I've seen of him. I really wanted him at Spurs but I don't think our interest was ever serious. Probably one of the best Belgian talents since Hazard and De Bruyne.

City are signing Sergio Gomez - Annoying because this is the player I wanted to back up Digne for Villa, oh well.

Chelsea are securing Chukwuemeka from us, £20 mill for him which is amazing considering he could've agreed a deal with them in Jan and just pay 500k compensation.

Weird transfer if I'm honest he complained about not being able to play and wanting first team football, but he signed for a team who are likely to upgrade his position this same summer.
