Looks like Hansa is in trouble yet again because of some dumb hooligans. :nonono:

I heard some Frankfurt Hools beat up Offenbach and Leverkusen fans, too.

My lady just sent me a few messages saying that when she got out of the bar at the Reeperbahn where she was watching the derby a group of HSV hools was supposed to arrive there. Stupid idiots.

I'm glad Pauli won, though. For some weird reason I like them - even as a Hansa fan. And I've been a semi-follower way before I met my lady.

Mertesacker
Now I know why people who actually watch Bundesliga are not that high on him.

That was an epic fail today. He's pretty much an average defender at best IMO.

Per is a "following" center back, not a "leading" CB, i.e. he only plays as well as his fellow CB. When he is paired with a rock solid guy like Naldo (who is chronically injured atm), 2006 Metzelder or 2010 Friedrich, he plays well, but if the other guy is a scrub, Mertesacker sucks. Prödl is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.

And it is a BAD time to be a Kaiserslautern fan at the moment. :(

Mertes strength is his positioning and zone defense. He needs smart, reliable defenders around him to look good... and "smart" and "reliable" are definitely words not associated with Bremen this year. Terms that come to mind are: "Chaotic", "Hühnerhaufen", "Don Nelson", "Everybody PANIC!!!" and "Magniot Linie".

It's a recipe for disaster and their only way to avoid relegation is to have somebody else suck even more. Let's see if Stuttgart and Gladbach assist them tomorrow.

Well it should've been 2-2 now. Gomez whistled for offside. IMO, not really offside.

Well first they got taken away a goal now a Dortmunder doesn't get whistled for a clear handball.

Dortmund certainly has a lot of luck today. It should essentially be 3-2 instead of 1-2.

I don't understand why van Gaal has Pranjic playing as a midfielder. He sucks. Dortmund is destroying Munich through the middle right now. They can do whatever they want there right now. Schweinsteiger does a solid job but Pranjic should just be moved to left back so that Luiz Gustavo can track Sahin in the middle.

And I don't understand why their best defender Breno is on the bench. :D

Breno is in for Badtstuber.
What was Van Gaal thinking with Gustavo-Badstuber-Tymoshuk-Lahm?

van Gaal doesn't think. On Wednesday Gustavo was possibly the best player on the field as a central midfielder. Sneijder did nothing all game long against him and was frustrated already after like 15 minutes and now he's playing freakin left back again and Pranjic sucks the hell as a defensive midfielder.

Well deserved win for Dortmund and Bayern Munich should ask themselves why they haven't acquired a solid defense. :D
