The line should be on the defenders front foot. It's even less offsides than that picture makes it look.

We didn't play a great game, but we at least deserved to tie. Our World Cup dream has been crushed, and all it took to destroy 4 years of hard work was an idiot with black attire and a flag, standing on the sideline.

Soccer badly needs a challenge system.

It'll be absolutely wonderful if Iran go through.

You must surely refuse to watch NBA as well because of all the bogus superstar calls then, do you?

A single bad call doesn't have this much impact on the game in the NBA, where it just cost Bosnia a chance of advancing in the world cup.

Sounds to me like you've been watching it.

Also, yes to offside, no to foul.

Lol being Bosnian soccer is like religion just like it to many other nations so it's hard not to watch the world cup.

World cup always consisted of rooting for other nations but to have your own country be in the world cup it's almost surreal.

really disappointed tonight.

can someone with more knowledge explain the whole Ibisevic coming off the bench thing? I don't completely understand the tactic as subs are different in soccer, this isn't the NBA where Ginobili still plays more minutes than the starter. Our success is based on scoring a lot of goals & I think that's what the world wanted from us, not 1 goal in 2 games.

Infact the whole lineup changes again are puzzling, I'm starting to really dislike Susic, I'm also bitter about Tino-Sven debuting for the country at the damn world cup, his contribution to the country's success being absolute zero.

yeah I'd love that but it'd come at a cost of Bosnia losing again so ugh

I'm not saying I want my nation to lose next game. But man, there would be no better way to stick it to FIFA and Nigeria than tanking and letting Iran get through. Again, not saying I'm advocating it, but I wouldn't be mad either.

I passed out in minute 70, but by my count dzeko had 6+ shots by then. Granted his waved off shot was a beautiful goal, but he had a poor conversion rate. And since Pjanic doesn't seem to shoot much they were always doomed if Eden wasn't on target.

I think they were doomed, period. It's obviously a gigantic achievement for Bosnia to be here, but they are not a very good team and i highly doubt they had it in them to draw Nigeria and defeat Iran.

Having said that, i completely understand the disappointment & anger because they should have been allowed to fail on their own terms, if that is in fact what was going to happen.

Too bad for BiH they lost with only 1 goal difference against Argentina. If they had lost by 3, they would've won this. It's Croatia vs Brazil in 2006 syndrome.
And too bad ref disallowed that goal because they would've held a positive result (draw most likely).

But BiH didn't deserve a victory. This is classical Yugoslavia from 1982 & 1984 which is better than most opponents, but physically and tactically isn't up to par. And of course with a few privileged players.

Misimovic starting is just a failure. He brings everyone except Besic down to his own pace.

And I think if the refs didn't ruin the game Bosnia would've won it. They would've scored that goal and drawn back for the rest of the game and Nigeria would be cooked without fast break opportunities.

agree on both statements. The entire complexion of the game changes if we're up 1-0 instead of the way around.

It's time for Misimovic and Spahic to retire. They're both legends of this team, and I'm greatly appreciative of everything they've done, but they just don't seem to have it anymore. I think Spahic could make it through Euro 2016 effectively, if Kolasinac can pick up some extra slack for him (he should've started btw), but Misimovic is done: he can't even play 60 minutes effectively.
