Yeah, that silly hippie was full of ****. I could start taking acid by the strip again, and still not have the imaginative-prowess to picture my Eiserne in the top half of the first league. But then, I wouldn't love union like I do if they weren't the type of team who turn down money from the city because they don't want the city to have any say in how things are run inside of our stadium.

Anyway; I like the draw. Leverkusen should get eliminated if Roma show up; Gladbach will have some fun matches, even if just getting the EL spot will be a challenge; FC VW could progress if they buy well in this final week; and Bayern is Bayern.

lol just post on your phone, then you won't even remember what your avi is :D

As for Bayern, man I dunno. Costa, Kimmich and Vidal were massive buys for them. Winning the CL is hard, but if they have the luck with injuries that Barca had last year, or Real had the year before, then it'll be very hard for anyone to eliminate them. Costa behind Robbery is just massive; replacing Schweini's broken body with Vidal will strengthen their midfield, as will having a healthy Thiago, and Kimmich covering the 6; Lewy should be even more settled in; and Alaba should continue blooming into their best player. Injuries could neuter them again, but it'll take even more painful injuries to do this year as they have a stronger roster than they've had so far under Pep.

I'll be rooting for Real...at least I will if Benzema gets sold and they play Ronaldo and Bale up top in a 4-3-1-2-0 that Jogi may finally realize our NT should be palying...but this year it could very well be Bayerns turn out of that Troika of CL-favorites.

truth18 wrote:Ugh, yeah I guess it is City so I really can't call it a lock, but its essentially a lock, Gladbach is solid but they won't be able to compete well against City at all. The attack will be too much imo. City simply has better athletes as well at almost every position (City's fitness always impresses me). I think Juve or Sevilla goes through. I think I may be slightly over rating Juve and under rating Sevilla (super impressive club), but I see City and Juve going through.

Just realized I hate every team in group B lol.

City is the match from that group that scares me the least for them. Favre is brilliant when he can focus on locking up things defensively and playing on the counter against giants. They've done great against Bayern since Favre took over and Citeh will be even more beatable than Bayern have been.

Are you asking me? I think they'll get at least a result against Citeh because Citeh will let them play like they do against Bayern...if not even more, as it won't be a surprise to anyone if they take 4pts off of the other Manchester...and they're likely to split with Sevilla again. So 4-7 points looks like a reasonable target if they struggle with Juve like I think they will.

between 4 and 10.
Just like every other team in that group.
Its going to be completely open until round 6.

it could even be 100% open to end 1st or end 4th in said round 6.

Whole Benfica team has been sold to Valencia in the summer.
I bet Gala still won't be able to finish second behind Atletico, though.

I actually disagree.
Different to Bayern they're actually able to play very well on the wings(Bayern doesn't really do that against us) and they've got the most complete #9 in the game in Aguero.

Though, we've got nothing to lose and I think we've got a shot against Sevilla. Juve, IMO, is the wild card given that they've lost quite a bit and no one knows how well they're able to gel with those new signings.

I completely disagree. Citeh has huge problems with effectively using width, as all of their best players like to play in that same central area between the striker and the double pivot. KdB, Silva and Aguero are all much less effective on the wings than through the middle; and only the really raw Sterling is a genuine threat out wide for them...if he ever learns to finish.

I take Aguero ahead of Lewy because he's more dynamic and more capable of the incredible, but Lewandowski is the more "complete" #9.

yea City will destroy them but Juve will likely be still gaining(or struggling to gain) chemistry for the first three matches. But starting slow is nothing new
