Does anyone think Costa Rica can come back? The odds are 5000-1 right now and I was thinking of taking a flyer

With the way Spain are playing I highly doubt it, stranger things have happened though.

Spain are going to wear Costa Rica down by half time by keeping the ball. 86% possession and chasing the ball all game, especially in the Qatar heat will finish them.

Germany going to go out in the group stage in two consecutive world cups? Can't see them gettting anything against this Spain team, and Japan will likely get at least a point against Costa Rica.

Man, Costa Rica look like a shambles. That is some horrible defending.

I was expecting a bit more fight.

Yeah the Ticos magic has ended.

It was amazing what they did in 2014 and to a lesser extent in 2018 but they aren’t a good team. Navas can only do so much.

It really isn’t that hot in Qatar by the way even in the middle of the day.

The distance Balde covered for that goal is incredible. Gavi with the excellent finish and a good assist by Morata

Costa Rican national team getting massacred out there in the middle of the dessert. Damn.

Can't wait for Canada - Belgium in a bit.

Getting ready for a Belgium meltdown.
It has been coming for a while and I expect a really disappointing World Cup for us.

Martinez still opting for a high line, with old and slow defenders. It's baffling, but expected.

Spain, like Germany, has various 'average' players. It's strange how fast their quality dropped.

Alba and Busquets are semi-retired Barcelona players and Torres and Asensio are bench warmers. And more.

As a Canadian, I so hope you're right but don't expect it lol.
