Looks like it's all chaos in Paris. 3 Explosions, 2 shootouts, 4 people being killed confirmed. Scary.

Seems like they only keep going to avoid panic in the stadium.

Edit: at least 18 people killed...

Sadly, it's probably only a foretaste of what will happen in 2016.

This is definitely another sad day for Paris and France.

At least 60 people killed...

Its crazy. You could hear the explosions during the game. They had to keep fans inside the stadium for protection.

In 1990s, when PKK(terrorist group that kills innocent in Turkey) was at its peak, French government was always helping them with weapons as well as financially. Most of the pkk population were living in France because French government never arrested those terrorists who lived in France and ship their ass to Turkey. Even their leader was hiding in France and government officialls announced that they knew where he was living but their decision was still the same and they didnt turn him in to Turkey. Obviously I am deeply sad that innocent people died, terrorism is gaining more power and killing more lives. However, I also believe what goes around comes around. Even though I am extremely sorry for their losses, I wanted to say karma is a bitch. You never ever support terrorism in any part of the world because one day it will come back to you and kill your own innocent people.

Merkel and the EU f*cked up. It's just a matter of time before something like this happens in a major German and that's because of Merkel's politics and because she wants the whole of Syria to live in Germany. Hopefully this is her last term as BK.

The ****? Jesus guys, between this post and Massi blaming the frenchies for sticking their noses into turkey's kurdish problem this conversation is just gross.

Merkel is ruining all the great work that Adenauer and Helmut Schmidt(RIP) did. Germany is a mess at the moment. There's a big chance that this great country will suffer a tragedy like Paris because of her politics.

I would tell you to keep talking about football only but sadly that's not going to make it much better.

Stupid logic by no20. The refugees are the people escaping the trouble. If you paid any attention the attackers in France were of french nationality.

pretty sure two of the attackers were syrian refugees.

current attacks probably happens with or without refugees but they are the result of lax immigration policies of 80s. there is no guarantee that current wave of "refugees" and their kids won't cause similar problems 20 years from now.

They should check their backgrounds before they come in. Are people like Nathan and cgf really that naive to think there are NONE of all these refugees that Merkel has welcomed with open who arent radical or who's got nothing to do with terrorism?

No problem if they want to be a part of the society and make an effort to learn the language and get a job. But you cant help but fear that a large number will end up in isolation and Sozialgeld.

They should check their background is easier said than done, though.
Those people are standing at your door, often without any sort of identity card...they could be everything from honest refugees, to economic refugees, to terrorists.

I'm far from right-wing but this immigration politics Merkel is currently practicing will lead to all sorts of problems.

I don't even want to mention that the situation for refugees itself will be rather frustrating.
They come here with the false expectation to find a much better life than they had pre-war in Syria....instead studied guys will end up having to take overtime minimum wage jobs because their degrees will likely not be accepted by the majority of companies. Living space is expensive and short in Germany. Especially, in the big cities they all want to join (for whatever reason I don't know). They might end up living with 8 or 10 people in flats that are made for not even half that amount of people.
Plus, the German social welfare system will probably collapse as soon as all the refugees start to bring in all their relatives/family they left back in Syria (or whereever they were coming from).

Germany doesn't really have the immense problem of ghettoisation/isolation the way France for example has in Paris. That might dramatically change soon, though.

germany shouldnt worry whole lot anyway, merkel bribed erdogan to take care of her refugee issues. merkel foots the bill, erdogan pockets half the money for himself and his cronies, builds decent habitat for refugees with the rest and erdogan gets millions of extra votes in few years. it is a win-win situation for everybody except for half of turkey that hates islamic fascism.

It's not a question of naivety, nor even a question of the real difficulties that large scale migrations can create. Just thought that how quickly No20 and masssi jumped to blame the victims was a gross reaction to this tragedy.

Nevermind that that kind of fear-mongering plays a pretty big role in cementing the divide that prevents new communities from integrating successfully on a large scale. There will always be individuals who fail to integrate, even if a community on the whole adapts well; see the Somalia population in Minneapolis/St.Paul; but focusing on that fear and those individuals who will always struggle to adjust creates barriers that prevent the community on the whole from settling in and making it easier to identify and isolate those more dangerous elements who do not adapt. Especially when people obsesses about this sort of thing in the light of tragedies, especially when those tradegies are fueled by circumstances unique to France's incompetent migration policies.

Yeah, but still lots of racism towards Turks in Germany. Turks hang out with Turks /other immigrants, not with Germans. And vice versa off course. But there's not a hatred like in France, that's true.

I once played in a Turkish football club here in Germany. Took me not even half a year to realize I need to get out of this chaos lol. Every god damn game someone was thrown off the pitch because all of them were perpetual hotheads. It was really annoying to be honest. You just want to play football and they just completely lose their cool at the first insult against them and try to take the opposing player to a one on one UFC fight. Most of them are fine off the pitch but they just can't keep their cool.
