Oh, and did I mention that the Bayern are bunch of crybabies?
"Rock bottom", "Disaster", ... Gimme a break. Just because they can't curb-stomp really good teams like Dortmund and (surprisingly) Hannover anymore doesn't mean the sky is falling. It just shows that there are bunch of clubs in Germany doing their work and getting better.

I must admit that I pity Bavaria atm.

Don't worry, Franz Josef* will rise from his grave to become the new Emperor of Bavaria and will save Bavaria. Bayern, then can be champion again and Gutti can cheat as much as he wants.

Bayern have announced that Van Gaal (contract until 2012) will stay until the end of the season, and then either Jupp Heynckes (Leverkusen) or Joachim Löw (German NT coach) are considered.

I am honestly curious how Van Gaal will work from now on, b/c his narcissistic ways have estranged almost everybody: Robben is livid about the van Bommel selling, Müller is scared after receiving a well documented on-field punch by Robben, team leader Butt is riding the bench, Lahm is utterly overplayed, Schweinsteiger was so often misused as a #10 that he forgot how to play as a #6, Ribery's and Badstuber's self confidence are destroyed after several run-ins wih van Gaal, and president Hoeness is just **** mad. Bayern are so out of sync that even van Gaal himself admitted that he could have done better.

Also, they are seriously pondering to buy Michael Ballack, who is riding the bench in Leverkusen. Yes, Leverkusen is THAT stacked on DMs (Vidal, Rolfes, Bender) and Bayern is THAT thin on them: Tymoshuk and Gustavo are played as backs, leaving Schweinsteiger... and er, Ottl? Also, they desperately need that "a**hole factor" previously provided by van Bommel b/c Bayern currently prefers to lie down and get crapped on than fight back.

Man, Ballack + Bayern = match in heaven. More soap potential than "Two and a Half Men" :lol:

Further in the news: Magath continues to be on the hot seat in Schalke. The fans are sick of the bad soccer and his arrogant ways, and relegation continues to be an issue. On the other hand, Werder seem to be on their way back, the team is pulling itself together.

Bayern should buy Vidal not Ballack. Vidal is possibly the best midfielder in the Bundesliga this season. I like him even more than Nuri Sahin.

Feel good story of the day: Almog Cohen, Israeli playing at 1. FC Nürnberg.

The "Süddeutsche Zeitung" describes how his dad had "sleepless nights" about sending his son to "Hitler's city" Nuremberg. During Adolf's reign of terror, Nuremberg was the center of the most fanatic Nazis, and the KZ Dachau is just 2h away by car. But Almog - apolitical but religious - reported feeling "nothing but support" in the Bundesliga, especially in Nuremberg. The only barrier: getting kosher food

Interesting and telling: Almog's best friends in the team are Mehmet Ekici and Ilkay Gündogan, both Turkish Muslims and just as religious as him. Since halal and kosher both prohibit eating pork, they guide Cohen through the (meat heavy) Bavarian cuisine. Cohen's comment: "Perhaps all the [Middle East] conflicts could be stopped by just playing more soccer."

Comment: Cohen is legit starter material, he is a hard tackling, blue collar #6 who is popular with the fans. His passing is hardly average, but then, he has lots of upside. I hope he does better than Alberman or Colautti, two recent Israelis who pretty much bombed in Gladbach.

Ribery and Robben played like they aren't from this world. Much more movement than the last few games. That's what everyone hoped when they bought Robben but it happens much too rarely. If they play like this every time nobody can stop them. Now it's against Inter that's where it really counts!!

Finally a Lautern win again, maybe three clubs are stupid enough to be worse than us after all. The relegation race is so intense atm, three Europa League participants (Bremen, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg) could get the axe

I am extremely disappointed in Rensing. Where are his usual miscalculations of crosses, his awful defense versus angled shots, and stunning mental errors? All I see is boring stuff, such as superb reflexes, solid air control, and a general aura of calmness. :sleep:

(I am openly eating crow about Rensing)

Really impressed with Rensing so far.

I'm also curious what Munich can do against Inter tomorrow.

I expect either an early goal from Inter Milan that makes Munich lose their concept completely or they score early and Inter has gotta risk even more so that Munich can finish them off with a Ribery or Robben counterattack.
