They could get even better as Gladbach's Branimir Hrgota's rumored to go there.
Gladbach, on the other hand, might be looking for another (young)striker and Hrgota's just got one year left on his deal.

Also, rumor has it that the back injury of Alvaro Dominguez might be really serious and could be a herniated disc, which would rule him out for quite some time.

Yeah, he's built like a rock(every opponent will feel playing him) but sometimes just goes over bord with his enthusiasm.

BTW: Benshop with the equalizer for Hannover at Darmstadt.
And Kalou with the 1-0 for Hertha at Augsburg.

10000 years ago, HSV vs Bayern used to be really exciting. And since nothing ever changed since then I don't know how you couldn't expect a great match yesterday?!

Yep, Hansi Hinterseer's nephew scored the 1-0 for Ingolstadt.
Choupo Mouting with the 2nd goal for Schalke at Bremen.
Darmstadt and Hannover are trading goals with the game now tied at 2-2.
And Hertha vs Augsburg is now 10 vs 10 players.

Brandt and Mehmedi are just ridiculously in sync. Bellarabi hasn't even been needed since they came on. Keissling isn't long for the starting job.

Brandt and Mehmedi were just ridiculously in sync. Bellarabi wasn't even needed after they came on. Can't imagine Keissling stays in the starting 11 for very long if Mehmedi plays that well with Son as well. Curious whether Schmidt would take Calhanoglu off and just play all 4 of Bellarabi, Son, Brandt and Mehmedi; cause the young turk is just so pointless in open play.

Every time I watch him I can't help but think of a young Pirlo being played in the hole as a 10 and being unable to get into matches the way he would after being played behind the box-to-boxers. Which is why I'd be curious to see Calhanoglu played behind Kramer and Bender.

Hoppenheim were the better team in the first half and have only themselves to blame for not taking a 2-0 lead before Sule fell asleep on the equalizer. Baumann had one of his strongest matches; Schar had a good first game; Volland was excellent in the first half though was sloppier in the second; Ochs and Uth showed some things after coming on; Kuranyi worked harder in the 58 minutes he played today than he did in the 5 years he played for Dinamo; Zuber isn't bad; Polanski had a strong match and Schwegler was fine (though he's capable of more). Their FBs are still a concern as Kim had a tough time; though the new czech RB did pretty well. And of course the attack needs to consistently play like they did in the first half; a breakout year from Ochs would really be huge for them.

I'd be curious to see them play with a back 3 using all 3 of Schar, Sule and Bikcakic with Polanski/Schwegler/Rudy in front of them in midfield and Volland/Ochs/Zuber/Kuranyi/Uth carrying the attack.

Sorry truthy, but today you are cheering for the wrong Borussia. Favre's boys are what's hot in the streets (I have never laughed as hard at work as I did yesterday, when my boss tried to use that phrase with his heavy russian accent).

Ah, damn. Thought our match and yours would be the only decent ones today and when I saw they won, I just assumed it was. We could still have a good game, and it looks like maybe the Hannover and Bayer games were alright?

Not the best opening day matches for sure though.

Lol, we don't even use that phrase in Philly.

Perhaps I chose the wrong Borussia ;) stuck with these fools regardless.

The goal from Ingolstadt was nice. Other than that 90 minutes to very quickly forget about.

I'm pulling for BMG, but that was pretty.

EDIT: I really love Xhaka's boots with those all white unis.
