Anyway was great to see Mesut cap the tournament with a great game, neuer being neuer-level was awesome, boateng was amazing, mats had those two bad moments where he let Zlatan's dwarfish friend blow past him before he got a handle on the tricky little bastard, and howedes was almost not useless, if we ignore the times where him getting caught up the pitch left his flank totally exposed, and Lahm had his best game back at FB. Schweini did work and poor toni. Mueller, mueller'd and schurrle deservedly set up our cup winner.

Now we just need the other top contender to **** the bed early in our next tourney and we may even sabotage Jogi's efforts to keep this second golden generation from achieving a second title before their run is done.

Cheers to the argies though, they were exceptionally well organized with the old dogs zabaleta and Mascherano really shining, Messi is a beast and if they get him and aguero clicking...oooo. Shame di maria, reus and sami had to miss this final, but that team still had their share of chances to grab the victory for themselves.

I would like to see a good defensive of this absurd claim that jogi is a good managre, cause the best I've seen is that despite his best efforts he didn't sabotage this team's chances at a 4th star this time.

argentinas manager deserves scrutiny. Lavezzi was the one pushing pace for them in the 1st half and they replaced him at half time with aguero. If anything aguero should've replaced higuain and lavezzi should've stayed on. Anyways the goal from the germans was pure magic, and fitting for the world cup win.

Kicker.de has no mercy with our world cup winners.

Marks from 1 to 6. 1 is the best, 6 the worst:

Neuer 3
Lahm 2
Boateng 1
Hummels 4
Höwedes 3,5
Kramer 3,5
Schweinsteiger 2
Müller 3
Özil 4,5
Kroos 4,5
Klose 3
Schürrle 2
Götze 2

They must've seen a different game than I did.

Taking off Lavezzi was the worst substitution since Mr. Burns pinch hit Homer for Darryl Strawberry.

For me

1 - Boateng
2 - Schweinsteiger, Gotze
3 - everyone else

but honestly, you would think winning the WC is an occasion where you give everyone a 1.

Congratulations Deutschland, you guys truly deserved it. And i'm happy i had you guys winning the whole thing for the last 4 years.

By the way, i will announce my winner for the 2018 World Cup: Germany. Yup they will be the first team since Brazil to repeat as champions. That German team is loaded with young talent and young bucks like Muller and Goetze will be ever better with their championship experience.

Great World Cup, sad it's over but it was a fun ride!

Its too early to start naming a champion. Germany isn't the only team that has young players.

So lame.

Congrats to Germany though! Very much deserved, it's about time! Low making everyone eat that crow haha

You guys should be more upset about Lewi leaving. Gotze is from Bavaria, plus he wouldn't have had this moment if it wasn't for him being on Bayern playing with a lot of these guys.

Lol. Of course I'm mad at Rob too, but he didn't score the winning goal in a wc final did he?

Screw Goetze. I'll hate him all I want to, its my choice. Not sure what your comment about Bayern has to do with anything I said.

Hope MU improves next year, haha.

I'm equally mad about both. We're nothing more than a glorified farm system for Bayern.

We shall see. I cant make any predictions because it's too early, but I think barring injuries Italy and Argentina will be in the semis.

Overreaction. Book them being in the quarters/semis, that's it though.

From there, they could go on to repeat, but by no means is it a sure thing in any way.

Also, it's way too early do discuss this stuff.

Player we haven't heard of or haven't made their mark yet will be big factors in Russia so it's too early to see who will be winners and what not.
