That was the best half of football to watch this tournament so far. Portugal going all out to survive, Belgium battening down the hatches.

And now they face Italy, then France, (then England?)

Eden Hazard has looked so good this tourny it's great to see him back. Tielemans put in so much hard work, I hope that he isn't worn out for next season.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

That was Portugal's best performance of the tournament. With 25% of the luck they had in 2016, they would've beaten Belgium handily.

We'll always have Paris, 2016.

He should have got a red but he gets away with that once every match. Still played very well especially considering that he's 38.

Pepe and their GK with the intense eyes. Looks like characters from Gangs of London than footballers.

They seem angry for some reason.

In the US, they're running some commercial where Ronaldo is using one of those devices which pound your muscles -- forget the brand name.

But he's in various states of undress, showing how still fit he is at his age but he needs treatment. Or that seems to be the gist of the commercial.

He may look physically fit but you can see in his face he's old -- still wearing eyeliner looks like.

Even though they ran it during the Euro broadcasts on ESPN a lot of Americans don't know Ronaldo so probably not the best market for him as a pitchman.

Czech like Slavia Prague are well organised and have some good players. shame about their racism.

Should be a tough game - but we are the favorites and have the better team. Of course we have to get it done on the pitch.

Btw. that's one thing annoying about the Eriksen-situation. Every 'expert' talking about the danish team as if they're playing on pure emotion and downplaying the quality in the squad. I feel like we're right at the top as a unit - but we lack some individual quality compared to the big nations. Overall a very solid team that can compete with the very best nations. Biggest question is still the offense

Schmeichel - one of the better PrL keepers for years

Wass - one of the first men on the team-sheet in Valencia
Christensen - big glow up after Tuchel arrived, always stepping up for the national team
Vestergaard - important player for Southampton. Being linked to bigger clubs
Kjær - ages like a fine wine. Never played better, key player for AC Milan
Mæhle - one of the best players in the entire tournament. Came to Atalanta in january and doing well

Delaney - rotational player in Dortmund. Always solid - but rarely more than that
Højbjerg - played every single minute for Spurs in the Prem. Capable of dominating the midfield

Braithwaite - the one who plays way above his level. No buisness playing for Barcelona. Very inefficient, but do link up okay in the offense
Damsgaard - our breakout player this tournament. Didn't know he was that good
Poulsen - a RB Leipzig legend, not saying that means much though. Impressive work-rate but lacks goal-scoring and technique

Off the bench;
Nørgaard and Jensen. The midfield duo from Brentford
Andersen - captain for Fulham this season on loan. Disappointment in Lyon. Rumours sending him to Tottenham
Dolberg - on his day he looks like a world-class player, but too often looks uninterested on the pitch with lackluster work-rate
Stryger Larsen - another very solid player. Fun fact. Didn't lose a national game before this tournament. 36 games unbeaten with him on the team.

This is the best danish team since the world cup in 1998.

For today I've got Croatia 1-0 over Spain.
France 2-0 over Switzerland.

Croatia seem kind of slow footed. Don't think they can beat Spain.

They won't let Simon back in the country if they lose on that one.

Agree about most of it. This team even minus Eriksen is one of the best Denmark team I have seen - was hoping to see some of Skov Olsen magic he showed in 4-0 trashing of Austria but looks like that ankle sprain messed him up before the tourney. What happened to Zanka? Is he out of rotation?
Czechs though present different challenge - Russia and Wales was no match for Denmarks fitness and stamina, Czechs are as well prepared if not better. This will not be 4 goal afair... I expect 1-0 score or overtime and penalties. Even Hjumland said he would rather play Netherlands.

Zanka played himself out of the starting 11 in Copenhagen during the season. Got the spot back after a few games - but he is nowhere close to any of the 4 mentioned CBs. Christensen, Kjær, Vestergaard and Andersen are all 2-3 levels above. Maxsø from Brøndby or Scholz from Midtjylland were clear cut better than Zanka this season. Fair to say Zanka only got the spot due to experience.

Unbelievable. How are you getting caught on a counter like that in that situation?
