Now I'm in a bad mood. What a horrible start to this very windy Saturday.

2 games in a row now without Bosingwa and Meireles. Has AVB finally learned his lesson?

Sturridge and Mata have been way too wasteful and our midfield is nonexistent. Might as well start playing the youngsters now

I could say there are better days ahead but unfortunately the next in line seems to be fat Rafa.

As bad as it sounds if AVB gets canned, Chelsea needs a Ranieri kind of guy, who is solidly unspectacular enough to just about deliver a top 4 spot without rocking the boat too much.

There's still a lot of quality in that team and once Terry gets back, the spine will be more solidified and Arsenal will do something stupid sooner or later.

Then Roman can sell one of his yachts to buy Modric, Bale and Van Persie in one summer and send Torres away to Malaga or PSG.

Can I switch my alleigance to Arsenal please? First year following EPL and I chose to support LFC. Should've chosen Arsenal.

RVP is incredible.

P.S. I'm not a bandwagon fan. I'm a lifelong Raptors, Bills, Blue Jays, Maple Leafs fan. That's 4 of the worst teams to root for in all of sports. LOL!

injuries are just piling up for arsenal at this point damn, going to need as healthy a squad as possible to maintain a champions league spot and maybe even get into 3rd

You guys won a trophy this year, thats something those other teams haven't been able to do :D.

But it's still early days for you guys. That Carling cup victory is a nice stepping stone and I think next season you guys will build on it

i still cant decide if i want AVB to get fired or to stay. as terrible has we have been this year and as frustrating as it is to watch his lack of adjustments etc... at some point we have to pick a manager and give them more than 2 years. if another manager comes in here we will have more continuity problems and will only add to the roster mess AVB inherited.

and as awful as AVB has been, you cant really blame him for the pathetic display today. that team had no heart, no passion, no fire. AND these were all the veterans griping about wanting to play. how can ashley cole and lampard bitch about not playing and then put in a performance like today? drogba loafs around the pitch for chunks of time. granted he doesnt get much service like all our strikers, but he could at least put pressure on the ball. and sturridge complains about wanting to be the main striker but he blows two rock solid chances.

i just really dont know what to think any more. and the idea of watching europa league next year is already making me depressed.

I'm 50/50 on AVB myself, but I do think he should be given a little more time. Most would agree that he played our strongest XI today, and the players simply did not perform. Some of the blame has to go to the manager for failing to motivate the squad, but it's been like that for almost 2 years now. I just want this season to be over, and sadly the youth cup is the only tournament that I really care about now.

Good result today, normally we're on the other side of a game like that, out playing the other side but can't finish. Nicer to be on the other side. Suarez is a a douche, never stops diving, thank god he can't finish.

And AVB's gone :(

It's going to be Di Matteo until the end of the season.

AVB's 3yr contract worth £14m. On top of that, CFC spent £28m paying off Ancelotti & Porto. Thus his 39-game reign cost over £1m a match.

Almost 100M on AVB and Torres lol. What I don't get is why the fans never showed AVB the support they still show Torres.

The whole economics of this appointment and subsequent firing is just crazy to think about. If he goes back to Porto now, they will laugh at Chelsea for paying that money to revoke his contract in the first place.

They'd struggle to find a guy as good as Ancelotti now, unless Mourinho decided to come back and quite frankly very few managers would be desperate enough (Benitez) to go through Chelsea again.

Am I the only one who things Martin Jol might be a good option for Chelsea? He might be the kind of guy eager enough to throw Fulham under the bus to make a step up and he's got good continental experience to do well in Europe and ofcourse the Ajax background.

It'd suck for Fulham though with Hughes leaving last season.
